DO NOT donate any good books to the school in bowerstone. You will know the good and bad books by their titles. Sell all of the good books that you find to shops and traders. The bad books are located in the houses in bowerstone, at the bandit camp, and one in knothole glade. Donate those books to the school after selling the good books first. Remember, if you already have the bright wizard hat, you can't get the dark wizard hat. It's one or the other, not both. Sorry to disappoint.

No, it doesnt matter what the book is about, if you want the dark hat, alls you gotta do is steal books from houses thne give to the guy. But if you take books from the guild youll get the good hat.

One way to tell a good book from a bad book is to look at it in your inventory. On the line with the book's title to the left will be a little icon. Either a <3 or a (!).
