How do you get people to follow me? Iv used the follow expression but it doesn't work they're too scared of me is there something I have to do with my personality for it to work?

When you press up during the game and it gives you 2 things go to the second one and then go to social something and it says follow and you press to your right to use or assign it.
If your evil and/or hideous then no-one will want to follow you. With the exception of bandits and slightly insane villagers. (With insane villagers being extremely rare.)
