Solus, frying pan, and Hiryu.
The frying pan can have 4 augmentations.
The Solus is the strongest great sword.
Hiryu is the best katana.
So it depends what you think is the best.
The other sword is called ' the Sentinus ' it is not as powerful as the sword of Aeons but you can can make it stronger.
The way you get this sword is by donaiting 300,000 gold to the Temple of Avo.

Okay for you 'true fable veterans'(losers who don't know what you're talking about)
The second-strongest weapon is the Solus Greatsword, bought in Bowerstone South for about 85k
The Sentinus is not a sword, it's a Greatmace, and it is obtained for 30k if you're at least half evil.
And what about the Harbinger? It's a longsword. and a katana? The Hiryu is not that great either way.
The best axe is the axe at The Guild
It is goos because it has 3 arguments ( I forgot the name of the axe sorry )
The best bow in the game is The Skorms Bow
It is amazing, kills all in one shot
Even better if you have masterd accuracy
I think that the best melee weapon apart from the sword of aeons and the solus great sword is the Murren Greathammer. It packs incredible force and can be found at the guild of heroes. It is in the 20 key silver chest.

well i would say the master longsword...
wait for it because i know you are all tutting at me saying this but just hold on and ill tell you why:
-it has 3 augamentation slots
-you can use the two known mana augamentations
-you can use the health augamentation on the 3rd slot
-you may think the frying pan is better but 1 you need all the clues beforehand and i think the master longsword does more damage(i only think this so please dont take my word for gospel)
-with the two augamentation slots your mana replenishes really quick.
this is just what i think but the 'best' weapon is just your personel opinion
