After Baron von Ghoul throws ghoulies at you, he will speed up. Once you defeat all the ghoulies, he will charge at you non-stop. An easier way to stop being pushed back, and losing health are two things: Get the invincibility can, or hide behind large objects. (Such as the bathtub.)
