At the first stage with the volcano, enter Y,A,X,B, black you will hear a chicken cluck... you now cannot receive damage.

Now go to the volcano and get hit with the lava that shoots out, you will hear music as if you died, your plane will be coverd in flames for a second then will pulsate with a cool orange/yellow glow for the rest of the stage.
