World of Warcraft. A Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game game that promises tactics, different classes, pets, a good fighting system, good graphics and best of all, a massive map to play the game on. But does WOW fulfill all of it's promises.
When I first played this game I was overwhelmed by the graphics. From the snowy region of Dun Morogh to the calm Tree Island forest of Teldrassil, you find yourself in a fantasy world that seems all too real. It needs a high spec PC to play it to it's full graphical potential however.
Great Sound. From the roar of the great Den Mother to the Orchestral Music of Stormwind, It seems to suit the place or beast perfectly. The downside is you hardly notice the sound as you are involved in the gameplay. But great sound is better than bad or even no sound right?
Great gameplay. Or let me rephrase that one. Absolutely positively outstanding gameplay. In fact, I don't think there is any word to describe it's deep ongoing gameplay. From completing your first quest, to entering the dungeon known as Gnomeregan you are hooked. Every class has it's own unique skills to it so you won't get bored.
The great thing about this game is the fact that it starts you off easily. With only two or sometimes three skills to kill your enemies when you start. It lets you know what to use and when. You can also see class trainers to learn different techniques. Thats not all. You can earn money to buy potions, armour and to repair your damaged items in battle. You can also choose a proffesion best linked to your class. For Example: A warrior might choose mining and blacksmithing to create mail armour for his/her self. The possibilities are endless.
Great game. There's lots to do and you can't complete it (well getting to level 60 is kind of) and you won't get bored for months. The different races and classes create a good variety, not forgetting the never-ending battle of the Horde and Alliance. The bad side is the slowdown (which gets on your nerves very quickly) and the monthly payments. Overall if you like MMORPG's get this game. It will be worth the money But if your the type of gamer that wants action and gore then you'll have to look elswhere.
