Flight School: Touch Down

This is probably one of the top few lessons that causes trouble for players because the way that the game appears to suggest that you complete it is not the way it has to be completed in order to unlock a gold medal.

The way that it appears is that the player is supposed to land on the bridge and stop at the marker. That will work, but not if you want a gold medal.

To obtain the gold medal you have to complete the landing in under 10 meters - silver is 45 meters, and bronze you just have to land without blowing up the plane.

To get a gold medal you need to do the following exactly:

(1) Accelerate until you pass through the marker ahead.

(2) Cut power to the engine so that the propeller stops using the Left Trigger as soon as you pass through the marker.

(3) Avoid any traffic on the bridge using your rudder.

(4) As soon as you reach the start of the bridge, land the plane on the bridge and then engage the Left Trigger to restart the engine and hold it to quickly come to a stop.
