Blink
Dishonored is blessed with a range of abilities that improve the gameplay and add different dimension and a heap of replay value to the game. When visited at the Hound Pits, you're given the ability to trade Runes found and earned in Dunwall for supernatural powers that allow you to go about your missions in numerous ways. Some of the powers can be used to be somewhat creative.
Blink
Mana Consumption: Very Low
Cost: None
Upgrade cost: 3 runes.
Blink allows rapid forward movement for a short distance.
Level 2 allow rapid forward movement for a longer distance.
Strategic tips:
Blink allows you to move very fast without being seen, making it useful for stealth since you can ‘teleport’ from one hidden spot to another, or even rooftop to rooftop if you combine jump with the power. Blink can effectively be chained together with assassination or choke if used to move up rapidly to unaware enemies. The mana cost for using the power is low, so the recharging portion of mana bar will allow you to blink even when you are out of potions. Blink can also be used to move upward, at limited distances. Note that the cursor changes when aimed at a surface or edge that will allow you to climb up as you blink.
Blink is the default power given by the outside, and can not be avoided. It’s the one power you can use to achieve the ‘Mostly Flesh and Steel’ achievement, and is by far the most useful.
