Battlefield 3 is the direct sequel to Battlefield 2 (2005), and is a first-person shooter and action-adventure game that features an extensive online multi-player mode along with a single-player story mode.
Featuring the very popular combined-arms mode across all of the modes of the game, single-player, multi-player, and co-op, BF3 re-introduces to players several modes from the Bad Company series, including prone position and fighter jets. BF3 vied for the most popular online shooter of 2011.
