This may have crossed your mind already, but when you are tasked with drawing a line of a certain length, you can attempt to use a ruler to measure the line.

However, when this touches the GamePad screen, it also draws, so a better bet is to compare the length of the line you are required to draw with the top edge of the GamePad screen. This edge is 5 inches, so use that as a guide (e.g. Draw a line half the length of the screen for 2.5 inches, and so on).
