About this FAQ:

You non-Zelda fans may think it is nuts that Ive already gotten 100%. Well,
its not nuts to a Zelda fan. This FAQ will guide you through the game to get
the extra stuff that is put out of your way.

This would include, but is not limited to: Goddess Cubes, Upgrades, Potions,
and even those dastardly Gratitude Crystals. Keep in mind that this FAQ will
follow the story chronologically, so you will find the contents of this guide
in chronological order.

If you are striving for 100%, but you cannot find certain items, then this
guide is for you. NOTE: If you wish to find something quickly, then use the
quick-search feature on your computer (Ctl+F). To find what youre looking
for, search for the letters/numbers in brackets.

1. Why 100% [Y100]

For those that are completionists or just want to get 100% may not think it is
worth it after the countless hours of searching for everything. But getting
100% is what Zelda games are truly about; the adventuring part at least. By
getting 100% you will have every Heart Container, all upgrades, and an arsenal
of weapons at your disposal. Youll also have plenty of bugs and treasures
for your collection.

So now that that is done, lets get on with the guide.
***********************************************************
2. Guide Updates: [GDUPD]

01/07/2012, V: 1.0 The guide is first submitted.
01/11/2012, V: 1.01 Fixed the date to the update above and changed the
second Banded Shield to Braced Shield in the Item Upgrades.

3. Game-Breaking Glitches [GLTCH]

There are two known game-breaking glitches at this point and hopefully there
will not be any more. One of them has a solution while the other does not.
Lets see what these two glitches are, shall we?

3.1 Golo the Gamebreaker [GLOGB]

While you are on your journey, you will meet a character by the name of Golo
the Goron in Lanayru Caves. Even later, you will find yourself on a quest to
get three parts of the Song of the Hero. If you decide to get the one in
Lanayru first or second, you may encounter this glitch. After you have gotten
the part of the Song of the Hero from the Thunder Dragon, if you talk to Golo
before getting the other part(s) of the Song of the Hero, you will be unable
to get them.

Nintendo has released a patch to fix this glitch via a channel on the Wii Shop
Channel. Beware, if you run the channel and delete your Wii Shop account,
your Skyward Sword save data will also be deleted.

3.2 Song of Eldin I [SHEGB]

Before you ask, that is Eldin the first, not Eldin one. This is the glitch
that does not have a fix other than restarting. This is Song of Eldin I
because it occurs the first time you visit the Eldin Province and is related
to the Song of the Hero. Usually when you enter a province, it will show a
small cutscene and Fi will give you information about it.

However, this glitch makes so that instead of doing that in Eldin, it will
trigger the cutscene for when you enter to get the Song of the Hero, an
eruption that blows Link away and he gets locked in a cell. Usually there
would be a barrel you could pick up so that you can get your Mogma Mitts;
however, that barrel is not there, so you cannot continue.

I have received word that the cause of this glitch is by using a code Game-
Breaking Glitch Fix too early. I will accept it, but if I find another
cause, I will update.

5. Enhanced Potions: [POTNS]

You can buy potions in the Bazaar by going up to the potion shop and examining
one of the potions. After you buy one, you can then take them to Bertie at
the cauldron to have him enhance itfor a price. In order to find and catch
the bugs, you will have to explore the surface. Most bugs, like the Lanayru
Ant and the Eldin Roller, are pretty obvious where they can be found. Others
like the Gerudo Dragonfly and Blessed Butterflies, not so much. Blessed
Butterflies can be found everywhere and Gerudo Dragonflies are found in
Lanayru Desert. You will be able to find every bug on an island called Bug
Heaven towards the end of the game; however, they will not be counted towards
your totals. I will make a Bug/Treasure guide after this so that you will
know where to find them.

Heart Potion+:
3 Blessed Butterflies
1 Woodland Rhino Beetle
1 Volcanic Ladybug

6. Pieces of Heart: [POH]

Unlike other Zelda games, Skyward Sword only has a total of 24 Pieces of
Heart. These can be found both on the surface and in the sky. Collecting a
total of four will increase your heart capacity by one.

1. The first Piece of Heart can be found when you pierce the cloud barrier for
the first time. It is located in the Lumpy Pumpkin on Pumpkin Landing, a bit
southeast of the Faron entrance point. When you enter, you will see it on the
chandelier. In order to get it down, go upstairs and roll into the banister
twice to knock the chandelier down. Grab the Piece of Heart, then talk to the
owner and complete your first assignment by taking a bottle of Hot Pumpkin
Soup to Eagus, the Knight Instructor in the Sparring Hall, for a Piece of
Heart you will get later.

2. After you find Machi, if you head up the ledges, you should see a hill
right in front of you. Go up the hill and then turn left. Go across the
tightrope to the Piece of Heart.

3. This one is found inside the Goddess Chest from the second Goddess Cube in
the Faron Province.

4. This one can be found inside the Skyview Temple, in the first locked room.
It is in the cage behind the center structure, but to get it you must get the
Beetle from the Stalfos in the structure. Once you get the Beetle, return to
the back and aim it at the top of the structure. Maneuver it into the top of
the structure and hit the crystal with barely enough time left. The cage
holding the Piece of Heart will then open.

5. During the course of the game, you may collect some objects known as
Gratitude Crystals. Collect 10 of them and give them to Batreaux to receive
this Piece of Heart.

6. A bit past the Volcano East bird statue you should see it on a ledge. In
order to reach it, you will have to climb the ledges where the two Pyrups hide
in skulls and go around the top then drop down from above.

7. Fly into the Faron Province via In the Woods and a bit to the left of it
past the hill should be some rocks. Blow them up with a bomb to get the Piece
of Heart.

8. After crossing the gaps with mine-carts in Lanayru Desert, in the
northeastern part of the main section there should be a cracked wall. Bomb it
and follow the path to a chest containing the Piece of Heart.

9. This one is found inside the Goddess Chest from the third Goddess Cube in
the Lanayru Province.

10. Remember when I told you about the assignments in Piece of Heart #1? You
can finish the assignments after you get Farores Courage. The second
assignment is helping Kina carry pumpkins to the storage. The third is
playing a duet with Kina at night with your harp. If you complete the
assignments, you will get another Piece of Heart.

11. This one s found inside the Goddess Chest from the sixth Goddess Cube in
the Eldin Province.

12. After completing the Gratitude Crystal quest, Dodohs Despair, play his
game and try to fly through all the fortune rings without hitting a Dodoh
ball, and then land on the 50 rupee space to get a Piece of Heart. The 50-
rupee space is the one with two blue rupees and two red rupees.

13. After you get the Clawshots from the second trial, return to the Knight
Academy and climb to the roof. You should see a clawshot target on the
chimney. Clawshot it to drop into the Knight Academy. Look around for a
crawl space and at the end of it you will drop into Zeldas room. Open her
cabinet for the Piece of Heart. Come here at night to be able to get a
Gratitude Crystal.

14. After buying the Life Medal from Beedle for 800 rupees, buy the Piece of
Heart for 1,600 rupees.

15. After fighting Moldarach at the Docking Bay in Lanayru Sand Sea, return to
the goron at the mine-cart. Speak to him and agree to play his game. Take
the Heart-Stopping Course and if you finish in 65 seconds or less, you will
get a Piece of Heart.

16. This one is found inside the Goddess Chest from the eighth Goddess Cube in
the Lanayru Province.

17. After you defeat Scervo and get the Heros Bow on the Sandship, hit the
timeshift stone in the center after shooting the switch on the mast. Defeat
all the archers, and then climb the ladder up the mast. Defeat any Bokoblins
you come across, and then shoot the switch to get to the next mast. Do the
same thing to get to the mast at the back of the ship. Defeat any Bokoblins
that may be up here, and then clawshot the target on the lookout tower behind
the mast. Drop down and go to your left to find a chest with the Piece of
Heart.

18. After the Sandship, if you have completed the Gratitude Crystal quest,
Fledges Workout, go in front of the Sparring Hall to see Fledge standing in
front of it. Talk to him, and then score 600 points or more in his pumpkin
archery mini-game to get the Piece of Heart.

19. This one is found inside the Goddess Chest from the eighth Goddess Cube of
the Eldin Province.

20. You get this one from a chest the fourth Mogma gives you in the Fire
Sancturary.

21. After completing the Fire Sanctuary, instead of flying to the sky, head
into the cave straight ahead and burrow into the ground in front of the
Blessed Butterflies or the Gossip Stone. Make your way to the other side and
walk on over to the chest containing the Piece of Heart.

22. This one is found inside the Goddess Chest from the ninth Goddess Cube in
the Faron Province.

23. When going for the Faron part of the Song of the Hero, fly to Behind the
Temple. Climb the vines closest to the Sealed Temple, and then talk to
Gorko. Hell mention a Goddess Wall. Activate the Goddess Wall with your
harp, and then talk to him again. If you draw what he says, he will give you
a Piece of Heart for helping him with his research.

24. After learning the Song of the Hero part from Lanayru, take the Thunder
Dragons Lightning Round challenge. If you win four battles in a row, you
will get a Piece of Heart, but you have to quit after the fourth battle or you
wont get it.

7. Goddess Cubes: [GODCB]

Throughout the game, you will see strange cubes that Gorko the Goron calls
Goddess Cubes. You will find a total of 27 Goddess Cubes, nine in each
province. I will tell you Goddess Cube locations, where their Goddess Chests
spawn, and what is inside each Goddess Chest.

7.1 Faron Province: [FP1]

1: The cube is pretty simple. Its right next to Gorko when you see him near
the Skyview Temple. The chest is located at the Pumpkin Landing, a little to
the right of the front entrance to the Lumpy Pumpkin. The chest contains an
Adventure Pouch Pocket.

2: Again, this cube is fairly simple. Its straight across from the Skyview
Temple. The chest is located on an island south of the Faron entrance point
and contains the third Piece of Heart.

3: After defeating Ghirahim in the Skyview Temple, the cube is located behind
the altar at Skyview Spring. The chest is located on the roof at the front of
the Lumpy Pumpkin and contains a Gold Rupee.

7.2 Eldin Province: [EP1]

1: The cube is to your left, below the ledge when you arrive. The chest is
located on an island northwest of Fun Fun Island and contains a Small Seed
Satchel.

2: Turn left in front of the cave at Volcano East to find the cube. The
chest contains a Silver Rupee and is found on an island west of Beedles
Island.

3: The cube is found on a pillar in the cave at Volcano East. The chest
contains a Gold Rupee and is located on the ring around the building at the
Isle of Songs.

4: The cube is located behind bombable rocks to the left of the Earth Temple.
In order to blow them up, take a bomb with you when you ride the gust up to
the ledge. The chest is found on Bamboo Island and contains a Gold Rupee.

5: Go down a hill near the Bokoblin camp to the right of the Earth Temple to
find the cube. To find the chest, go to the island southeast of Beedles
Island. This chest contains the Treasure Medal.

6: After you start sliding after going through the burning cave, take the
left-most gust of wind and its on the ledge below the one youre on. The
chest contains the eleventh Piece of Heart and is located in the storage shed
near Kukiels House on Skyloft. To reach it, you will need the Water Dragons
scale from the first trial, so you can go through the underwater cave to get
to it.

7.3 Lanayru Province: [LP1]

1: From where you arrive, the cube is right behind you. The chest contains a
Silver Rupee and is found on an island southeast of Beedles Island.

2: To find the cube, you will come across a pit of sinksand with some Ampili
in it. Make your way to the cube that you should be able to see. NOTE: You
will need to get on the Ampilis shells to get through the sinksand. This
chest is found on an island east of Lanayrus entrance point and contains a
Heart Medal.

3: This cube is found on a ledge near the Temple of Time. In order to hit it,
you will have to hit a timeshift stone under rocks on one of the pillars.
Defeat the Bokoblins, and then talk to the robot to get him out of the hover-
carts path. Hit the timeshift stone under the ledge the cube is on to
complete the hover-carts path. Strike the cube while you are on the hover-
cart.

7.4 Faron Province: [FP2]

4: While you are climbing the great tree in Faron Woods, you will come
outside. The first time you do, climb up only two ledges and then if you look
down you will see a Goddess Cube. Drop down to it from where you are and
strike it. The Goddess Chest is located on a small island a little bit past
the right-most set of stairs near the Knight Academy and it contains a Silver
Rupee.

5: After you get back to where you were on the great tree, continue along the
path until you eventually go back inside. Defeat the Moblin and then proceed
outside. Activate the bird statue, The Great Tree before you continue.
When you see the cliff jutting out from the tree, look down a bit before it
and you should see two ledges, one of which has a Goddess Cube. To reach it,
drop down onto the ledge that does not have the Goddess Cube and then walk
across the tightrope. To find the Goddess Chest, you will need to go into the
thundercloud. It is on an island to the east of the Isle of Songs, but you
have to climb some vines. This chest contains a Rupee Medal.

6: When you get to the second bird statue in Lake Floria, look behind you to
see the Goddess Cube. There should be a path to your left leading to it. In
order to get this Goddess Chest, you will have to wait until you have the item
from the second trial. To reach it, you have to go back to the waterfall
caves entrance on Skyloft and look up. You should see some vines you can
clawshot and then take out your Clawshots again. Look to your left and you
should see more vines to clawshot. When you do clawshot the vines, climb up
to the top and go to the back. You should see an island with the Goddess
Chest. Run off the edge and skydive over to it. The chest contains a Gold
Rupee.

7.5 Lanayru Province: [LP2]

4: From where you got the eighth Piece of Heart, you should have seen some
clawshot targets. Go back to them and follow the path. When you land,
clawshot the next target to slash the Goddess Cube. To find this Goddess
Chest, go to the island to west of Beedles Island. Go through the underwater
tunnel to find the Goddess Chest waiting for you. It contains a Heart Medal.

5: Look at your map and you should notice the power node marks are still
there. Go to the teardrop one and you should see a clawshot target nearby.
Clawshot and you should see the Goddess Cube straight ahead. Follow the path
to your left to reach it. The Goddess Chest is located on an island northwest
of Fun Fun Island. There are three chests here, one of them you already got.
This one is located on the part the first was on, but there are some vines
below the edge. Hang onto the edge closest to the cage to be able to climb on
the vines. Climb the path until you reach the alcove with the chest. The
chest contains a Life Medal.

6: When you get to the bird statue, Ancient Harbor, at Lanayru Sand Sea, you
should see a bunch of crates to your right. There is a clawshot target on the
back of one of them. Clawshot the target and then go into the cave that
should be a bit to your left. In there is the Goddess Cube. The Goddess
Chest is located in the Skyloft Bazaar next to Gondos Scrap Shop. This chest
contains a Gold Rupee.

7: When you get to a place called Skippers Retreat, start climbing. When
you get to the Moblin, defeat him and then look straight ahead. You should
see some pillars with vines, one of them with the Goddess Cube on it.
Clawshot the vines, and then go all the way left. Take out your clawshots
again and clawshot the other vines. Climb to the top to get your Goddess
Cube. This Goddess Chest is found where the fifth Goddess Cube here was,
northwest of Fun Fun Island. This time it is in the cage. Clawshot the vines
in the cage, and then drop down. Inside the chest is a Potion Medal.

8: When you get to the Pirates Stronghold, inside you will need to retrieve a
timeshift orb and bring it back to the entrance. Once you do, the mouth
outside will open and you should see the Goddess Cube on top during the
cutscene. After it, head out through the new door. When you get out, turn
around and clawshot the targets above you. Hit the Goddess Cube and return to
the sky. Return to Skyloft and head over to the waterfall caves entrance.
Clawshot the vines above you, then turn around and clawshot the vines above
you and to your left. Run to the other side to the Goddess Chest. Inside is
the sixteenth Piece of Heart.

7.6 Eldin Province: [EP2]

7: This Goddess Cube is found immediately to your right when you enter the
Volcano Summit. In Hero Mode, you can hit with the True Master Sword, which
is why it is listed earlier than it should. On a normal run, you will have to
wait for when you are getting the Song of the Hero part from here. There will
be a slab of rock moving in the lava. Hit the cube while you are riding it.
The Goddess Chest is on an island north of Bug Heaven, but the Mogma Mitts are
required. When you burrow in the hole, take the exit to your right to reach
the chest. It contains the final empty bottle.

8: When you see the first exit from the Volcano Summit, go out. Turn to your
right and skydive to a pillar behind the one you see. On it is the Goddess
Cube. The chest is on a wooden platform hanging on a wall on the outside of
Bug Heaven and contains the nineteenth Piece of Heart.

9: When you reach the bird statue, Inside the Volcano, turn left and head
out the window. Follow the pillars and defeat the Lizalfos on your way. The
Goddess Cube is on the cliff after the pillars. Head to the roof of the Isle
of Songs to find a Small Bomb Bag in the Goddess Chest.

7.7 Faron Province: [FP3]

7: When you have to get the water basin, fly to Floria Waterfall. Above and
behind you should be some cliffs and some vines on one. Clawshot to the
vines, and climb up to the Goddess Cube. The Goddess Chest contains a Gold
Rupee at the bottom of Fun Fun Island.

8: Fly into Faron via Forest Temple. To the right of the Skyview Temple
should be some vines on the wall. Clawshot them and then follow the path to
more vines. Clawshot them and then climb up to the Goddess Cube. This
Goddess Cube is located in Beedles shack on Beedles Island. To get it
during day, you will need good skydiving skills, so I recommend getting it at
night. Inside is a Rupee Medal.

9: Fly into Faron via Viewing Platform. Look left a bit and you will see it
on a ledge above a pool of water. Head on over to it and then clawshot the
target on the curved part of the ledge. Hit the Goddess Cube and then return
to the sky. Fly to an island east of the Lanayru entrance point and the
Goddess Chest there contains the twenty-second Piece of Heart.

7.8 Lanayru Province: [LP3]

9. The final Goddess Cube is located at Lanayru Gorge. When you return the
timeshift cart to its original postion, go across the new bridge and make your
way over to the dead tree. Blow up the rocks in the center to reveal a
timeshift stone. Hit it and then circle the platform to find the Goddess
Cube. This Goddess Chest found on the same island north of Bug Heaven where
the Empty Bottle was. This time, thought, take the left exit. After you
exit, climb the vines to the chest. Inside is a Small Quiver.

8. Gratitude Crystals: [GRATC]

After you return the Ruby Tablet, you will have the chance to start a long
side-quest that involves gathering substances known as Gratitude Crystals for
a demon named Batreaux so that he can become human. There are a total of 80,
15 of which are scattered around the sky, and the others are found in fives
from completing other side-quests. Helping Batreaux is a very rewarding task.
Note that the scattered crystals will only appear at night.

To reach Batreaux, go to the cemetery on Skyloft at night and strike the
gravestone closest to the tree. The storage door will open and you can climb

from the Knight Academy. The eighth is behind the plant to your left when you

get it.

After you return the Ruby Tablet, you will find out Kukiel is missing. She is
in a house that belongs to a demon by the name of Batreaux. To reach Batreaux,

the tree. The storage door will open and you can climb down. Follow the path

After you complete Kukiel and the Demon, this will become available. Talk to
Parrow at the plaza and he will mention his sister, Orielle has not come home
yet. Fly out towards Fun Fun Island, but stop at an island shortly before it
where you shield see a brown loftwing and Orielle. The brown loftwing is hers
and when you talk to her, it turns out her loftwing is injured. Return to

Crystals. If you use the Mushroom Spores, you can find more by hitting
glowing mushrooms in Faron.

you a letter. You have two choices on what to do with it. You can either
give it to Karane, or give it to the woman in the restroom.

If you give it to Karane, she is in the classroom. Give it to her, and then
head upstairs and talk to Pipit. Go back to the classroom after you do to see
a cutscene where Cawlin gets his heart broken and Pipit and Karane start
dating. You will get your crystals from Pipit.

well are the Mogma. The Mogma you are looking for is Guld, the first you met
in the Fire Sanctuary. However, he is on one of the pillars in the cave at
