I can't say that I played in original in any in-depth way, but when I saw this was due for release, it's a game that I really fancied playing. So I picked it up and I wasn't disappointed. I'm writing this FAQ will to sole purpose to help out the average gamer. My guide isn't really intended to help those masters-of-the-genre type players or to help you get onto the worldwide leaderboard. You should point the Wiimote at the screen to aim the reticle (cross-hair). If you shoot "manually" like this you will cause your enemy the maximum damage. You can also "lock-on" to an enemy. Point that reticle at it, then tap the A button. All your fire will now be concentrated on the targeted area, so all you need to do is hold the shoot button down. Though this method is more accurate, you will cause the target less damage than in manual mode. Whilst you are in the thick of things, you should employ the lock-on like so. Hold the B button so that you are continually shooting and point the reticle somewhere in the region of some enemies. Constantly tap the A button and it will lock-on to a nearby enemy, kill them, then quickly lock on to another. This technique is fantastic for taking out a number of enemies in a short space of time. The "lock-on" technique is massively important during the Commander (boss) battles. Because you will spend a lot of time evading attacks, you won't have a lot of time to manually aim. If you target the Commander, you can still shoot whilst trying to evade their nasty attacks. * Kachi has an "auto-lock" technique, where she will automatically lock on to a nearby enemy. This won't reduce the effectiveness of her weapon, unlike the manual lock on with Isa. E v a d i n g Press the Z button to evade. Press the Z button and a direction and you will "evade" in that direction. In actual fact it is like a roll. Whilst you are evading, you cannot be hit by enemy fire. This means in some situations where it looks like there is no escape, in actual fact their is. Since you can't be harmed while evading, you should do it as often as possible. Since you can still fire whilst doing this, it won't limit your attacks but it will ensure that you cannot be damaged. Basically in this game, you need to be continually evading with one hand and continually shooting with the other. M e l e e A t t a c k Tap the B button to perform the melee attack. You will now take a swipe with your sword. You can use this to take out enemies that move close-up or to clear debris from your path. If you use the melee attack up to three times in a row to perform a combo. The combo will be a stronger attack, but your character will take longer to recover from it and you may find yourself open to attacks from your enemies. In some Commander Battles, it will be necessary to use your melee attack. C o u n t e r A t t a c k Some enemies and Commanders will fire projectiles at you. As they approach, you can use your Melee Attack to deflect the projectile back towards that original or other enemies. This is called a Counter Attack. As well as being an effective weapon, you will also unlock Coins (and therefore points) by performing a Counter Attack. You should use this in conjunction with the lock-on for this technique to be the most effective. Lock onto a target, then perform the Counter Attack. The projectile will fly towards the enemy that you locked on to. C h a r g e S h o t The Charge Shot is a powerful weapon that can be used to take out a lot of enemies at once. Either that or it can cause a single target a lot of damage. Hold the A button and the shot will begin to charge. Look at the circle around the reticle to see how the charge is coming along. Once the Charge Shot is ready, aim it at your intended target(s) and release A. A strong blast will be sent out and this will cause a lot of damage. Once the shot has been discharged, you will have to wait a while before you can use it again. Keep an eye on the Recharge Guage around the reticle. When the red section has depleted, you Charge Shot can be armed again. You will also get an audio prompt when this happens. Isa and Kachi have differing Charge Shots. Isa will send a huge blast out that will take up a larger area. This will harm anything caught in the blast. Kachi's Charge Shot has a lock-on ability. You can lock on to up to eight enemies or you can just focus on one. ,----------------------------------------------------------------------------. | I t e m s | '----------------------------------------------------------------------------' LIFE KITS: These are small red or white boxes that recover you character's health. They are usually dropped by defeated enemies. COINS : There are three colours of coins; bronze, silver and gold. Coins are dropped when you defeat an enemy with a Counter Attack. MEDALS : Medals are found when "special conditions" are met. You will get a bonus of 200,000 points for every one you collect. They are usually well hidden, so it may take you a while to find them all! ,----------------------------------------------------------------------------. | S c o r i n g | '----------------------------------------------------------------------------' M u l t i p l i e r The more enemies you shoot, the higher you multiplier will reach. All points that you earn by killing enemies and Commanders will be put through the multiplier before being added to your score. If you take a hit to your health, you multiplier will take a hit also. Usually this turns out to be a couple of numbers. This basically means that you will get a greater multiplier if you avoid being hit. The maximum level that you can hit is x16. K i l l i n g S t u f f Seems pretty obvious, but you'll get points for killing enemies. As a general rule, the stronger and more powerful the enemy is, the more points you'll get. The points will be run through the multiplier before being added to your score. S t a n d i n g A r o u n d Yep, just stand around, don't even shoot anything all you'll be picking up points with ease. You think I'm joking? Hell no! Because of the nature of this game, it's a lot easier if you use the Hover action to keep well out of trouble. And who can blame you? I use it all this time. However, hovering isn't conjusive to high scores. Stand with your feet on the ground increases the danger that you'll get hit, making it a harder skill to master. Thus, you will earn "bonus points" for doing so. Your score will steadily increase when ever you are grounded. C o m m a n d e r B o n u s When you begin a Commander Battle, you will be given a certain amount of time to defeat it. If you manage to do this with time remaining, what ever is left will be put through the multiplier before being added to your score. If you fail to defeat the Commander in the time, your multiplier will decrease. L i f e B o n u s Your remaining health at the end of the stage will be run through the multiplier and then be added to your score. Should you come through the stage with 100% full health, you will also get the Perfect Bonus. S p e c i a l B o n u s Find one of the Special Medals hidden within a stage for a 200,000 bonus. You will get an additional 200,000 for every one that you find. To find these Medals "special conditions" need to be met. These are usually shooting all of a certain type of enemy or another such task. The Special Bonus is not put through the Multiplier. M i s c The Nick of Time Bonus is awarded when you clear the final enemy or obstacle with just a few seconds left. The Time Bonus is awarded in each section of Stage 0. Try to get through quickly to earn the most off of this bonus. ,----------------------------------------------------------------------------. | B a s i c G a m e p l a y | '----------------------------------------------------------------------------' At basic level, you goal is to get through the waves of enemies and take out the Commander at the end of the stage. Once you have done this, the stage will end. As you make your way through a stage, you will reach CHECKPOINTS. When this happens, you will return to this point if you die. There are usually more than one Commander on each stage. This means that you'll need to work to preserve your health. To attain the highest scores, you will need to get through the entire stage without dying. You should continuously use the Evade function. Whilst Evading, you will become invincible, so the more you do it, the less chance you have of being hit. It is not specifically concerned with high scores, though I may mention these things in passing. I will STRIVE to include all the the Special Medals in the walkthrough section but at the moment, it hinges on me finding them so bear with me. The walkthrough was written whilst playing NORMAL difficulty. I trust this should satisfy most people, since if you are playing this on HARD, I doubt you'll need my help. _____________ _____________ \ /| |\ / ) || ( / | 5a) S t a g e 0 : E s c a p e | \ |______________________________________________________| Stage 0 is basically a tutorial level, that lets you get aquinted with the controls and the basic gameplay. It's not all that challenging, but try to pick up what you can. Watch the cut scene to gain a little (see tiny) bit of the story before heading out. Read the tutorial for moving your character and shooting. Shoot the debris in front of you to clear a path and you will then proceed through the door behind. You will now get a tutorial on the lock-on technique. This will become an invaluable action throughout the game, particularly in the Commander Battles. Practice by locking-onto the spider-like enemies further along the path. Once you've gunned them down, you will head through the door. Since that was the first time you could theorically take damage, I'll stick this in here. The first time you get hit, you will get a tutorial on your character's health. Next up is a Melee Attack tutorial. Just tap the Shoot button (which ever control scheme you are using) to whack nearby objects with your sword. Tap up to three times in a row to perform a combo and cause more damage. Do this now to clear the debris in front of you. After this you will see two rows of Spiders on either side of the corridor. Either shoot them or use the melee attack to bring them all down. Once you've cleared these, you can move onto the second wave. With the second wave down, you will see a guy in a radiation suit hidden behind a barricade. Gun him down and shift the barricade too. You will now move into an open room with lots of troops. Shoot these as soon as they appear and watch out because they will shoot back with their lazers! After shooting a certain one of these troops, an items tutorial will come up. Basically it will show you the three types of items in the game and what they are used for. Keep an eye out for those Life Kits! Coincidentally, there will be a Life Kit dropped here. Pick it up and continue will the massacre. Once you've destroyed all the enemies you will move to a door on the left. Before the door opens you will get a tutorial on jumping and evading. Evading is the most precious skill that you can learn in Sin and Punishment. While ever you are evading, you will become invincible. Even the slowest amongst you will realise that the more you evade, the less chance you have of being hit. Through the door, you will see some lazers on the right hand side. Quickly press left and Evade and you will roll across to the left. Right after, there are more lazers on the left, so roll across to the right. Next the lazers will be placed horizonally. Press C to leap of them. Continue down to path avoiding the lazers and you will come to the end of the corridor. Here you will get a Hover Mode tutorial. Hovering is another essential skill, so read carefully and try to pick it up! Before heading through the door, press up to hover in the air. The door will now open and you will now be faced with a couple more waves of lazers to avoid. After this you will see a couple of rows of spiders. Gun them down or use you melee attack if they get a little close for comfort. These guys will be a little more forward in their shooting than previous spiders, so don't forget to evade as to avoid taking any unnecessary damage. Once the spiders are dealt with, you will be on the move again. The lazers will now be a lot more condensed and the will be just one window for you to get through. Make sure you hit the window otherwise you will lose health. The final set of lazers will be free-moving, so pick a gap and get through it. There will be a solider in front of you. Shoot him and he will give up a Life Kit. Shoot the debris too and you will get a reminder of how the evade action works. As you enter this room you will see a door at the other end with a red core in it. You need to attack this core to get the door open. However, there will be a small problem with that because a roof lazer will appear and begin a long lazer blast at you. Here you should lock onto the red core and hold down the shoot button. When the lazer traps you in a corner, you can use the evade action to pass right through it without taking damage! All the time you should keep shoot and eventually the door will break down. As you move forward you will see another door with another red core. Quickly lock onto it and begin firing. This time, two roof lazers will appear, making it harder to avoid them but it can be done fairly comfortably by using evade. However, you should watch out for the spiders that will approach you. Every now and then you will have to hit them with your sword to keep them at bay. Once this door is down, you will move into the next area. In here it is pretty much the same as before, except when you enter a barrage of barrels will be rolled at you. Just hover into the air (if you weren't already) to avoid them. Lock onto the red core and evade the lazer attacks. You may find that you'll get a Life Kit for blowing up this door. When you come into the next room, you will get a tutorial on the use of the Charge Shot. This is a very powerful weapon, that reacts slightly differently between to two characters. Isa has a more powerful shot that will blow up a certain area, whilst Kachi can lock-on with here Charge Shot. For now, just give the stacked contains a taste of your Charge Shot. As soon as the containers are gone, three artilleries will drop from the roof. Since your Charge Shot needs some time to reload, it's best if you just gun these down. They're not all that strong, but made sure you evade any of their attacks. Once the artilleries are gone, you will get a Counter Attack tutorial. Counter attacking will allow you to deflect any enemy projectiles (not including lazers) with your melee attack. This works best if you lock onto a target, then do the deflecting. That way, the projectile will be aimed right for the enemy that you locked onto. A couple more robots will drop from the ceiling and you may see some rocket launchers above. Lock onto one of the robots and wait for a rocket to be fired at you. As it approached, perform the melee attack and it should be deflected right into the robot you locked onto, destroying it instantly. There are about five artilleries to kill, in addition to the two rocket launchers. You may have noticed the Coins that were floating about the screen. These appear when you successfully kill an enemy with a Counter Attack. Coins will increase your score. On the next screen there will be more rocket launchers and artilleries. Perform the Counter Attack for the best score, but don't forget to keep evading the enemy fire. Taking out one of the Rocket Launchers should give you a Life Kit. Once this screen is clear, you will move onto... ,============================================================================. | C o m m a n d e r : P a c i f i r e HP: 2000 | |============================================================================| | This is the first Commander that you'll meet in the game. You notice that | | he's a huge spidery-robot-creature. Well he ain't all that. | | | | As with all Commanders in the game, Pacifire has a central core that you | | must attack. It's his weak spot, if you will. And since he's a spider, | | there's only one place that the central core can be. Even if you are | | unsure, the reticle will turn red when you hover over it. | | | | As soon as the battle begins, let off a Charge Shot into the core. You | | should let of a Charge Shot at every opportunity, as soon as it has | | reloaded. After this you should lock-on and let rip with your gun. | | | | If you can bring down a roof vent or two, this will can also harm the | | Commander. This will have the added bonus of earning you a Special Medal | | if you blow the correct one. Charge Shots are good for bringing down a few | | at once. | | | | Whilst all this is going on, Pacifire will have begun his attack. At first | | this is pretty basic, he will move his legs around and stop the ground at | | certain intevals. You just need to make sure you don't get stomped on. | | Soon though, he attacks will advance. He will start to throw grenades at | | you, whilst he still stomping around. You really don't want to take a hit | | for a grenade. | | | | What you can do however, is use a Counter Attack to hit the grenades back | | at him. This won't exactly cause massive damage, but every little helps | | and the Coins will help out your score too. | | | | Another attack that you are likely to see comes from his lazers. He will | | sweep around the perimeter will a lazer cannon. This can be pretty easily | | avoided as long as you evade in the opposite direction that the lazer is | | coming fromt (i.e. if it's coming from the left, evade directly through it | | to the right). He will still be stomping while this goes on, but the | | grenades will stop. | | | | On you get Pacifire below 1000HP, he will hit the deck and you can move in | | for some serious damage. Personally, I like a good combo melee attack here | | that will bring his HP down to around 600. At this point, the camera will | | move and you will hover over the top of him. | | | | All you need to do here is evade his blasts of lazer fire and concentrate | | on the core. Let of a couple of Charge Shots and after he takes a few | | bullets he should be down. If it goes on long enough, you can deflect the | | rockets that he fires at you back at him but it should all be all over by | | this point. | '----------------------------------------------------------------------------' Defeating Pacifire will signal the end of Stage 0. Check your score to see how you did. If this is your first playthrough, then you probably don't need to concentrate on that so much. _____________ _____________ \ /| |\ / ) || ( / | 5b) S t a g e 1 : U r b a n R u i n s | \ |______________________________________________________| Watch all the (yawn) story stuff, then we'll be straight into the action. You will be running along a roadway, strewn with plenty of enemy forces. Quickly shoot down the nearby floating enemies and use a Charge Shot on the artillery on the roof. On the other side of the building is a swarm of tadpoles. Fire at them and tap A repeatedly to take a lot of them out and boost up your multiplier. Soon after this is a guy in a turret. Jump (C) and whack him with your Melee Attack. This will bring down the turret. You should do exactly the same to every other turret along this pathway and when you reach the end, you will get a Special Medal. For now though, send a Charge Shot to the artilleries on the rooftop to the left. Right here is another turret. Whack it, then gun down as many tadpoles as you can. Just when you get to the next turret (Melee Attack), the Commander that's been following you since the start will begin to fire missiles at you. Fear not. As the missiles approach you from behind, you should lock-on to the Commander and deflect them back at him with a Counter Attack. You should do this to every missile you can. If you can't lock-on to the Commander, find some other target. Don't forget to Melee Attack all the turrets too. When you reach the end, there will be one more turret. Break this and you should get a Special Medal. The Commander will now break the bridge where you are stood and you will be forced to take to the air. CHECKPOINT You will have a spare couple of moments here, so lock-on to any straggling enemies and bump up your multiplier. You will soon come to a roof top with a few guys on it. Aim a Charge Shot at the explosive barrels in the middle, then gun down any survivors. Use Evade here if you look like taking a bullet or two. As you come down the side of the building, waste as many tadpoles as you possibly can. Once you are out of tadpoles, go for the crabs climbing up the walls. After this you will come to another roof with a few more men on it. Gun them down rapidly or use a Charge Shot. Moving on, there will be a few more men, crabs and tadpoles to take out, just before you come to the first Commander Battle. CHECKPOINT ,============================================================================. | C o m m a n d e r : N S I r o n b a t HP: 500 | |============================================================================| | The Commander will move in front you and begin the attack. Continue | | defending yourself against the gunners until you and use the Charge again. | | | | On occasion, an enemy may move to the front of the screen. Either shoot it | | or use your Melee Attack. After a while, you may notice that the Ironbat | | will find grenades at you. Quickly lock-on and deflect the grenade back at | | him for a Counter Attack. It shouldn't take long for it to give up and | | die, leaving you with plenty of Coins and hopefully a Life Kit. | '----------------------------------------------------------------------------' CHECKPOINT After the battle, you will take to the air again. Shoot the tadpoles on your way past. Closeby will be an artillery and a rocket launcher. Deflect the rocket into the artillery, or failing that use a Charge Shot to take them both out. You will move past some more enemies on a roof to the right. Try to gun them down since you don't have a Charge. You will approach a lower roof with a couple more artilleries. Use the Charge as soon as possible to take them out, then use the lock-on to clear away any soliders. As you leave to the right, take out a few tadpoles. Here you will come onto another roadway and you'll be under heavy fire before you even land. Quickly use a Charge Shot to quell the bullets and take out all three artilleries. As you make your way down this road, you should be continually Evading to avoid damage. Try to lock-on and shoot as many of the flying enemies and crabs as possible. Soon you will see a huge bird in front of you. Welcome to your first Keeper Battle. Keeper Battles are similar to Commander Battles, except Keepers are usually stronger. Keepers are usually creatures too, whereas Commanders are robots are armed humans. CHECKPOINT ,============================================================================. | K e e p e r : P h o e n i x HP: 500 | |============================================================================| | The Phoenix will begin by spitting a lot of fireballs at you. You should | | use Evade constatly to avoid them. Stay locked-on to the Phoenix though, | | because you can still cause him damage at the same time. | | | | Afterwards, the Phoenix will guard itself with it's wing and it won't be | | harmed by you bullets. At this point a line of crabs will roll down the | | hill. Target the Phoenix and whack one of the crabs with a Melee Attack. | | This will deflect the crab back at the Phoenix and it (should) fall from | | it's perch. If that happens, you'll get a Special Medal. This can also be | | achieved by knocking the Phoenix from its perch by shooting it. | | | | When it comes back, you might find the Keeper comes right to the | | foreground. Use a combo Melee Attack to deal it some damage. Fit in a | | Charge Attack as and when you can and the Keeper should be dead in no | | time. | '----------------------------------------------------------------------------' CHECKPOINT Grab all the Coins and Life Kits that the Phoenix will kindly leave behind. In the next part, you'll be upside-down for a brief period. Use a Charge to take out the two artilleries. Hit the swarm for a boost for your multiplier. There will be lot of flying enemies here, so smash as many as you can. After this you will move over another freeway and a vehicle will pass below. Use a Charge to take out the first one. As the second one goes past, you will move in behind it. Drop to the ground so that you are running and you will see that explosives are being dropped behind. Target the vehicle and deflect the explosives with a Counter. Bye, bye truck! As you take to the air again, DON'T shoot truck that comes from behind you. If you leave it, then it will fire missiles at you. If you can aim and deflect the missiles so that they blow up all of the line of artilleries on the left, you will get a Special Medal. You will soon seen a road on the right with a truck on it. Take the truck out with a Charge Shot. On the right is a bank of artilleries. Hit them with a Charge if possible, but if not just evade and concentrate on the flying enemies. There will be a couple of enemies with purple light emitting from after this. Gun them down and you will come to a tall building with "arms" around the side. You'll see a yellow control box at the base of each of these arms. If you blow up the box, then you'll blow up the arm. I have a strong feeling that you'll get a Special Medal if you manage to blow up all the arms (I haven't done it yet). This is pretty tough but it CAN be done. Watch out for the lazers that the later arms will shoot out. You can easily evade through the beams though. Once you've made your way to the opposite side of the building, you'll come up against a ship similar (if not the same) as the NS Ironbat. However, this is no Commander Battle, at least not yet. As you line up you'll probably notice two arms either side of the screen. It may be a good idea to take these bad boys out quickly (especially if this leads to a Medal). Watch out for the artilleries on the ground (Charge Shot). Oh yeah, and remember to focus some attention on the Ironbat too. A couple of Charges and plenty of gunfire should suffice. You can also Counter any rockets that are fired at you (if you are quick enough the react). Once the Ironbat is down, you'll drop to the ground. Shoot the men that break through the door, then send a Charge into the side of the tank. With this, the next Commander Battle will begin. CHECKPOINT ,============================================================================. | C o m m a n d e r : S q u a d L e a d e r HP: 500 | |============================================================================| | As the fight starts, clear away any remaining troops. The Leader will | | probably open by throwing a boomerang of sorts at you. Evade this and he | | will come at you with his sword. Evade this too, then move in for a melee | | combo. | | | | After giving him a good kicking, more troops will surge in and the Leader | | will retreat. Gun down the troops and use a melee attack on the Commander | | if he comes too close. Following this, you should get the chance to hit | | him with a Charge as he goes back to the tank. | | | | He should be firmly on the back foot now, so finish him off with your gun/ | | Charge/melee attack and pick up the Coins and Life Kit. | '----------------------------------------------------------------------------' With that over and done with, it's time for...another Commander Battle! Watch the cut scene before you come up against the final Commander (but not the last boss!) on this stage. CHECKPOINT ,============================================================================. | C o m m a n d e r : O r i o n T s a n g HP: 500 | |============================================================================| | Tsang will generate a force-field around himself that cannot be penetrated | | for the moment. Just stay out of touching distance of the whip and the balls | | should form around you, rather than on you. Beware that you will need to | | move out of the way as they begin to move. | | | | With this done, Tsang will come into the fore-ground for a melee attack. | | If you can time this right (i.e. wait for him to attack first) you can | | harm Tsang by Countering his attack back at him. This can be pretty hard | | time correctly though. | | | | Tsang will appear around the edge of the screen. You need to get as close | | as you possibly can to him (and quick) then hide behind him. In this way | | you will miss the huge wave of sparks that he's about the send out. It can | | be difficult even to miss the sparks then, so try to be aware. On the | | second or third (it varies) that he does this, you can catch him with a | | melee combo. | | | | Next, Tsang reappears in the centre of the screeen. He will positon four | | orange projectiles around him. You should target Tsang and quickly Counter | | the projectile right back at him. Knock the second and third ones out of | | the way, but you should have time to target and catch him with the fourth. | | | | After this attack, Tsang will repeat the last three sequences and forget | | about the first two. That is, he will come for a melee attack, send out | | huge waves of sparks, then attack you with the orange projectiles. Since | | each time you hit him, you'll take a sizable chunk of HP, this shouldn't | | take long. | '----------------------------------------------------------------------------' Watch the cut scene. Thought you were finished? Wrong. There's a big Keeper Battle to come before this Stage is finished. CHECKPOINT ,============================================================================. | K e e p e r : S n a p p e r HP: 2000 | |============================================================================| | You will start this battle by making your way down a long tunnel. You'll | | following some sort of spinning creature (that's the Keeper). The Snapper | | is a sort of huge tortoise/turtle/dinosaur thing. For now it will be | | shooting stuff at you, so watch out. You can avoid damage by staying on | | the opposite side of the tunnel to the Snapper. I find this easier if I | | just move around rather than evade. | | | | Once you reach the bottom of the tunnel, you'll come face to face with the | | Snapper. You'll likely see some frame-rate slowdown (I did anyway). At | | this point, you'll be pretty close to it's head, so giving it a whack with | | your sword would be a good idea. For this you'll be rewarded with a Red | | Life Kit. | | | | As you move away from the Snapper, shoot it in the head. Meanwhile, it | | will fire the large spikes from it's back at you. They're pretty easy to | | see coming, so just keep out of their way! | | | | After this a smaller creature on the Snappers back will awaken. This | | little guy will summon up some rocks to fall on to you. Here you should | | quickly target each one of the Snappers legs and deflect a canister into | | them. Since canisters are far between in this pile of rocks, this can be | | pretty tough. If you get them all, you should pick up a Special Medal. | | However, don't forget you still need to protect yourself from the rocks. | | Single attacks work better than combos, since you don't have to wait to | | recover from them. | | | | The Snapper (and the dude on his back) will both breathe jets of fire at | | you now. Lock-on to the Snapper's head, then evade like hell! Soon they | | will get bored of this game and move close up to you. | | | | The Snapper will now take swipes at you in mid-air with his claws. Don't | | be fooled into evade either left or right. Just wait for the swipe to come | | and when it does you'll be safe as long as you evade at the right time. | | You may find that he moves his head a little far forward here. Give him a | | swift melee attack and you'll earn a Special Reward for the priveledge. | | | | This melee attack will have stunned the Keeper, so use this as a chance | | for a Charge Shot and plenty of bullet-time. After this, he will take off | | up the tunnel again. | | | | Everything from this point is pretty much rinse and repeat, so head back | | to the top of this section if you need help on strategy. Once you've | | nailed this bad boy, you'll end the stage. Those listed with a ? are ones that unconfirmed (but suspected). S t a g e 0 1) During the Pacifire battle, if you manage to blow up the correct ceiling vent, you'll get a medal. Though this could possibly be awarded for bringing enough vents down on Pacifire's head. Charge shots are good for bring down a few of these at a time. 2) Destroy 200 or more enemies/obstacles. This may require you to wait around the part with the roof lasers and the doors with the red cores, so you can take out a few more enemies, but it will be worth it for the medal. ?) You can get a medal for finishing Pacifire off in a certain way. S t a g e 1 1) Whilst you are running down the roadway at the start, you will see men in turrets to the side. Jump up (C) and hit them ALL with your melee attack. When you reach the end of the road, you will receive the medal. 2) When you are facing the Phoenix Keeper, lock on to it, then use a Melee Attack on one of the crab enemies. The crab will deflect into the Phoenix and knock it from it's perch. You'll get a medal for this. 3) After you have destroyed the truck that was dropping explosives behind it, another truck will come from behind as you take to the air. Don't blow the truck up. Instead wait for it to first missiles at you. If you can deflect all the missiles so that they blow up the entire line of artilleries on the left, you will get a medal. 4) Destroy more than 500 enemies/obstacles. 5) Whilst fighting the Snapper Keeper, lots of rocks will begin to fall on you. If you can pick out the cannisters in between the rocks and deflect one into each of the Snappers four legs, you will get the medal. 6) In the Snapper Keeper Battle, in the sequence where he is taking swipes at you, if you can hit him with a melee attack, you'll get a medal. ?) Possibly one for all taking out all those "arms" on the side of the tall building. ?) You can get one in the opening section, which I think is something to do with deflecting the missiles back at the NS Ironbat. ...UNDER CONSTRUCTION... _____________ _____________ \ /| |\ / ) || ( / | 7) C r e d i t s | \ |_____________________________________________________| T h a n k Y o u s GameFAQs for hosting this. You for clicking on my FAQ. NintendoMan1987 and Mariyoshi from the Sin and Punishment: Star Successor Board, where they posted the locations of some Special Medals. People on the FAQ Contributors Board at GameFAQs for everything FAQ-related. _____________ _____________ \ /| |\ / ) || ( / | 8) C o n t a c t I n f o r m a t i o n | \ |_____________________________________________________| My contact email is [email protected].
