1.) Introduction

Howdy and welcome to my walkthrough for Mega Man 9. I've been a fan of the
Mega Man series since I was a kid. Mega Man was a nice challenge and then I
eventually got Mega Man 4, which is my favorite Mega Man to this day. When I
heard that Mega Man 9 was going to be released, it really brought me back to my
days as a child and I was anticipating it. My brother downloaded it for his
Wii and I've been playing it since. I've been playing it over and over again,
trying to get all the achievements and whatnot so I have a pretty good grasp on
the game.

The walkthrough will include the boss route that I usually take and each boss
will include an arm cannon section and some tips on how not to be damaged by
the boss.

Splash Woman
------------
(SW1)

Level Difficulty: Easy
Boss Difficulty With Weakness: Very Easy
Boss Difficulty With Arm Cannon: Very Easy

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh man.. I really did miss this 8 bit music. I honestly do think that the Mega
Man games has some of the best for the NES, but I digress. Once you land, make
your way to the right (which you probably guessed by now) and you'll run into a
couple of mines. These things are not like the ones from Dive Man's stage in
Mega Man 4. If you get too close or actually shoot it, the mine will come
alive temporarily and chase after you and blow up about 5 seconds later, so be
careful around these. Once you get past these, continue on and you'll see some
pink saucers. Shooting these will reveal an octopus. It will shoot out an ink
ball at you and if it manages to hit you, Mega Man will turn black. A neat
thing about this is that while you're in this stage, all the items will be
black as long as you are. Pause and unpause the game to get rid of this
effect.

Shoot the saucers to make the Octopus appear and shoot its head three times to
kill it. You'll have to take care of two more as you progress to the right.
The very last one is "protecting" a large screw, which is worth 20 screws.
Screws are the currency in the game and can be used to buy items in the shop,
but that will be mentioned in the sections after the walkthrough. Grab it and
drop down.  Once you land, you'll have a choice on which way you want to go;
left or right. Jump left and land on the small platform as you drop down to
get a 1-Up. Careful as you drop down because there will be a couple of spikes
as you drop down and it can be a bit hard to drop down dead center between
them. Once you land, continue to the right and you'll be introduced to a new
enemy here: jet penguins. That's what I like to call them, anyways. These
things come flying from the left or right side of the screen and ram right into
you, so keep your eyes peeled. You'll eventually run into some more mines and
a wall climber. The wall climber shoots out a ball that splits into 8
different directions.

Drop down and you'll reach another split. Take the right path this time but
don't hug along the wall just yet as the spikes are still there. Once you
reach the next screen, start going left to get the Large Energy Capsule. Drop
down again and continue to the right to find another wall climber. Take it
out if you want and continue until you reach the next room. There's a Large
Energy Capsule sitting at the top here if you want to get it. In this room,
you'll need to ride the large bubbles here for a couple of screens, so stand
to the right until a large bubble comes out and ride it up. On the next
screen, a row of spikes will be above you so look to the left and shoot the
jet penguins that come at you and wait for a small bubble to start coming up.
Jump on it and quickly jump to the left again, jumping on the next small bubble
and then jump once more to land on the large bubble on the left. Ride it up to
the next screen. Here, some more jet penguins will come at you, only from the
right side of the screen so start firing when they come. Once you get near the
top, jump to the right to land on another large bubble and ride it up. Now,
on this screen, there's a large screw sitting to your left. If you want to get
it, wait until another large bubble is underneath you. Land on that bubble
once the bubble you're on pops and jump to the bubble on your left to get the
screw. Make your way back up and take the right path this time.

Continue on until you reach a ladder. Take out the wall climbers and climb up
to find your first jumping puzzle. First take out the wall climber so that it
doesn't cause any problems for you. Watch the patterns of the platforms that
come from the walls. Jump on the first one, then the second one. Once the
third one comes out, jump on it and then jump on the fourth one to reach the
ladder. It's a fairly easy pattern to remember. The next room is a bit more
tricky and dangerous due to there being spikes at the bottom. The first two
platforms will come from the right. Once the first one comes out, wait for it
to come into reach and jump on it and then quickly jump on the second one that
comes out and jump on the platform next to it. Wait for the third one to come
out and jump on it and ride it over to the fourth one that comes out. Jump
on it and climb the ladder. This is the last room. You'll want to jump on
the first platform that comes from the left and then immediately jump on the
second platform that comes out. Right before the platforms goes near the
spikes, jump on the third platform that comes from the right and ride it to
the left until the fourth platform comes out. Carefully jump up as there are
spikes above you to land on the fourth platform and climb the ladder to safety.

Advance to the right and take out the enemies and drop down to the next room to
find the gate leading to the boss room. Take out the wall climber if you want.
Remember, this is a Mega Man game, so make sure to jump through the gates!
Also, do you notice something different with the name above the door? Dr. L
instead of Dr. W? Oh my.

O--------------O
| Splash Woman |
O--------------O

Weakness: Hornet Chaser

Weakness Strategy: This is almost too simple with the Hornet Chaser if you have
it already. The Hornets will home in on her and if you shoot them at a small
time interval (shooting one, then shooting another a few seconds later) you can
take off a chunk of her health quickly. Splash Woman is easy as her movements
are very predictable. When the fight starts, she'll start whistling for her
fish to come. They'll come from either the left or right, or either jump or
shoot a Hornet out to take them out as they go up towards Splash Woman. Once
she reaches the top of the room, she'll shoot down Tridents below. Stand in
the corner and wait for her to get near you. Dodge the first trident and keep
running to the opposite side to dodge the others. Rinse and Repeat.

Arm Cannon Strategy: Since Splash Woman is the first boss in this guide,
chances are this will be your main weapon. Once the battle starts, get off
about two or three shots at her. Once the fish start coming, either shoot them
or jump over them and wait for Splash Woman to start throwing down her
Tridents. Sit in either corner and once she gets over to you, dodge the
Trident if it's in front of you and run to the opposite side of the room to
dodge the rest of them. Rinse and repeat.

No Damage Strategy: This is for those that are going for the "Mr. Perfect"
achievement. All you have to do is time your jumps when she calls for her fish
so that you clear over them and don't hit her as she makes her way to the top
of the room. Once her Tridents start coming down, wait in the corner until
she gets near you and run to the other side of the room to avoid the rest of
her Tridents. Just make sure to cleanly dodge any Tridents near you before
running to the other side of the room.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Concrete Man
------------
(CM2)

Level Difficulty: Easy
Boss With Weakness: Easy
Boss With Arm Cannon: Medium

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once the level begins, begin trotting to the right and you'll run into some
birds that drop rocks. Once they rocks hit the ground, they'll split into
numerous pieces that will fly left and right. Getting hit by these pieces WILL
damage you so make sure you're not near a pit when they come down if you don't
shoot them. As you get to the pits, some enemies will fly out from the pits
and eventually shoot at you so you'll need to step to the edge of the pit so
they fly out and either way until they go higher or shoot them before jumping
across. In the next room, a familiar enemy will make a reappearance and it's
one of the more annoying ones. Do you remember those sliding mines from the
first Mega Man game in Ice Man's stage and onwards? Well, they're back.
Shooting them temporarily freezes them. Wait until the first one is against
the wall and shoot it and jump on the platform. Turn to the right and shoot
the next one so you have enough room to land on the next platform. Jump and
then quickly jump to the left and climb the ladder. Head a bit to the right
and jump on the lowest platform here and wait until the mine is in the middle
of the platform. Shoot it and jump onto the platform and then over the mine.
Jump on the last platform to reach the 1-Up and drop back down and continue to
the right.

Here's the first of a trio of mini-bosses, an Elephant. The ball it has near
its trunk will roll across the ground once it hits it. Run to the right once
you enter the screen and jump over the ball and start shooting a few shots.
Now jump onto the ladder and start shooting to the right to safely take it out.
Go to the next screen to find an elephant with a green ball. This one is
different from the last one. Quickly run near the ball once you enter the room
and it will hop over your head. Start shooting and then once the ball reaches
the end of the room, run to the left to avoid beind sucked into the elephant
and jump over the ball as it comes near you. Repeat this process until it
dies. On the next screen, you'll see two small pits and another elephant that
has a red ball. The red ball goes straight across the ground, so jump over it
and onto the platform between the pits and start shooting. Once he starts
sucking you in, run to the left and jump over the ball. Once the ball touches
his trunk, stop running and wait for the ball to come at you again. Jump over
it again and shoot some more and start running again as it tries to suck you
in. Repeat until dead.

On the next screen, you'll see a Large Energy Capsule that can't be obtained
until you get the Hornet Chaser. Take care of the spider once it drops down
from the ceiling. Now, you may notice a block that's different from the ones
you're standing on. The four squares on the fake block are filled and colored
in. If you can't tell which one it is, run to the right until you fall through
it. Make sure to remember that a block that looks like that is a false block.
Make your way down and once you're able to drop down again, hug along the right
wall as you do and you'll land on a platform with a Large Screw on it. Get it
and drop down. Take care of the cannon here and continue to the right. The
first waterfall near the next cannon has a platform behind it, so use that to
your advantage to take out the second cannon. Once it's gone, jump across the
pit behind the second waterfall and climb the ladder. In this area, take care
of the cannon and then climb the ladder to kill the spider that drops from the
ceiling if it hasn't already. Remember what the false blocks look like here
and jump over them. There are two here and the second one is over a row of
spikes. Climb the ladder at the end and you'll see a three way split here.
Jump up and take care of the tree like enemy here. Take the top path to find
two Small Energy Capsules and two Small Screws. Continue to the right to find
a Large Weapon Capsule. Ride the platform with an arrow pointing up to reach
it. Now go to the right to find another series of platforms. Some go up and
some go down. Jump on them and ride the ones that go up to get a good jumping
distance to the next one. Once you reach the end, go through the gates.

O--------------O
| Concrete Man |
O--------------O

Weakness: Laser Trident

Weakess Strategy: Concrete Man can be a bit hard if you're not careful and
don't pay attention. He has three main attacks; he'll charge and try to ram
his shoulder into you. His second one involves jumping in the air and landing
on the ground. If he does this, jump as he lands or you'll be stunned
momentarily. His final attack consists of shooting three concrete shots at
you. If any of these hit you, it will constrict you and it gives him an
opening to hit you. Now, jump over his shoulder ram if he starts off with it.
If he does, stand near him and once he's ready for his next attack, run away
so you can avoid the concrete shots if that's what he does next. You can shoot
the Laser Tridents quickly here, so start spamming it on him once you get an
opening. Also keep in mind that the Laser Tridents CAN break through the
concrete shots once they form.

Arm Cannon Strategy: This one takes a bit of patience since Concrete Man has no
set strategy and is pretty much random. If he uses a shoulder ram, jump over
it and turn around and get off a couple of shots. If he uses a concrete shot,
run away from it and jump on one of the blocks to get a few more shots off
before he either charges or jumps into the air. When he jumps into the air,
run to the side, jump and then start shooting once you land. You'll only be
able to shoot about 2-3 shots every opening so make sure to dodge effeciently
and aim correctly.

No Damage Strategy: This one is challenging since Concrete Man's movements are
random and he has no set pattern. Sometimes he'll shoulder ram twice,
sometimes he'll shoot a concrete shot right off the bat. Either way, make sure
to have the Laser Trident for this fight as it can break through the concrete
blocks that he shoots out. Just also remember to jump up in the air if he
jumps and tries to land on you.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Galaxy Man
----------
(GM3)

Level Difficulty: Easy
Boss With Weakness: Very Easy
Boss With Arm Cannon: Very Easy

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I honestly have NO clue what Galaxy Man's purpose is. Once you land, proceed
to the right and some UFOs will come flying onto the screen. All they do is
fly through the air so shoot them before you get too close to them. Shoot any
more you come across and you'll find a Met, which I hate very much. These
things are super evil in this game and you'll see why once you reach Dr. Wily's
Castle. If you've never played a Mega Man game, you have to wait until a Met
peeks from underneath its helmet to actually shoot and kill it. Just creep
towards it until it does. Jump across the spikes and climb the ladder you
come across. At the end, take out the Met on the platform and climb the ladder
at the end of the room.

In this room, you'll see two pink like boxes above you. Jump into the left one
and you'll appear in the right one, flying through the air. Wheee! But alas
we can't have fun with these as we have to prove Dr. Light's innocence! Drop
back into the right one to come out of the left one and climb the ladder.
You'll notice a Large Energy Capsule on the left side of the screen. Proceed
to the right, and SURPRISE! Meet the second most evil enemy in this game, the
Heli Grappler, or at least that's what I call it. It will grab you and slam
you into the wall (no damage done to you, don't worry) before it lets you go.
This may not be so bad, but just wait until you go a wee bit more to the right.
Grab the Large Energy Capsule if you want and continue to the right. HOLY SH--
another one! This one will drag you to the right, so make sure to jump over
the spike pit it brings you to. It'll drag you to a second one. Once you see
it, hold the left button and keep jumping as it will let you go over it. Keep
going to the right but carefully tiptoe until another one comes flying down.
Shoot this one so you kill at least one of them. Jump over the spikes and let
the third one carry you to the right to make things quicker. Just make sure to
hold left once it drops you.

If you're holding left, you'll avoid the spikes. Climb the ladder and take out
the Met at the top of the ladder and drop down and hold right to get the Large
Weapon Capsule. In the next room, go to the right and take care of the UFOs
that fly on screen and you'll eventually reach more of those teleporting boxes.
Jump into the first box and you'll come out of the one a bit to the right of
you. Land into the box that you didn't come out of to reach the end of this
hallway. In the next room, you'll see some floating eyes. Hmm.. these sure
look familiar. Oh god! It's the Green Devil! Any Mega Man player knows the
horrible evilness of this enemy. If you shoot the eye twice, it will shoot
into three smaller green eyes. Kill those if you want. In the next room,
you'll see some yellow floating eyes, which is like the Yellow Devil. If you
shoot these twice, they'll split into FOUR eyes. Grab the 1-Up by using the
Rush Coil and continue on. Take care of the enemies here and continue to the
next room. Here, another Heli Grappler will try to latch onto you but if
you're running, it won't BUT REMEMBER WHERE IT DROPS. It drops just a bit
right of the ladder above you. Kill the two Mets over here and jump up to the
second floor of this area and proceed left. Once the ladder is in view, tiptoe
left until the Heli Grappler falls and misses you. If it had grabbed you,
it would've rammed you right into the spikes on the wall, which isn't fun,
trust me.

Grab the Screws in the next room and you'll reach the final stretch before
Galaxy Man. Ignore the Large Energy and Weapon Capsules to your left unless
you absolutely need them. If you go to the left, a Heli Grappler will come
down to ram you into some more spikes. Go to the right to find some more
teleporters. Jump past the first teleporter and just as you drop past it, go
left and grab the Large Screw. This is easy to do, trust me. Jump into the
teleporter that's just right of the one that's the highest than all the others
to be teleported to the one near the boss gates but watch out, some UFOs will
come out so go back in to jump out as they follow you and drop back into the
teleporter to get back near the boss gates. Safely drop down on the ledge
this time and go through the gates.

| Galaxy Man |

Weakness: Concrete Shot

Weakness Strategy: This is no doubt the easiest Robot Master in the game, which
is why a lot of people tend to start with him, but not me! His main attacks
consist of flying through the air and shooting a Black Hole at you. Once this
opens, it'll try to suck you in and Galaxy Man will appear underneath it.
After this, he'll fly through the air again for a few sceonds before dropping
down. Now, he'll do one of two things here; he'll either go back into the
air or he'll try to fly into you. If he does the latter, he goes in a small
arc going up, so you can jump over him easily, just don't stand too far away
from him. Once he's on the ground, unleash a few Concrete Shots at him until
he goes flying back into the air.

If you want to defeat him in under 10 seconds, you'll want to hit him while
his Black Hole shot is out and he's underneath it. You also need to be lucky
and hope he tries ramming into you three consecutive times.

Arm Cannon Strategy: Like with the Concrete Shot, this is just as easy, only
it will take longer. Just wait until he's on the ground when the Black Hole
isn't out to shoot at him and jump over him as he tries to ram into you. If
you're standing too far away as he flies at you, he'll fly a bit higher as he
goes further and he may hit you so try to get close but not so close that you
won't have time to react.

No Damage Strategy: Again, just jump over him as he tries to ram you and run
away as the Black Hole tries to suck you in.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jewel Man
---------
(JM4)

Level Difficulty: Medium
Boss With Weakness: Easy
Boss With Arm Cannon: Medium

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the first annoying stage you'll come across, so let's get this hell
hole out of the way. Once this level starts, go down the ledges and drop down
to the next screen. Take out the Mets and you'll see a new enemy drop down
as you progress further. They start out as flat green lines but once they hit
the ground, they grow spikes and haul ass for you. You'll also find another
new enemy: An enemy hiding in a mine cart. Once you shoot it, a rock will come
bouncing your way. Jump over it and keep shooting. Once it does, four rocks
will come flying out and explode upon hitting the ground. Once you reach the
next room, you'll find some more spiders that are crawling on the ceiling.
Move a bit to the left to get the first two to drop down and shoot them. Now,
don't bother wasting energy on the spider below you. Chances are that by now
it's bouncing around on the ground. Move to the right and it'll follow you as
it bounces across the bottom part of the room. It'll eventually fall into the
path going down and it will never be heard from again. Make your way to the
bottom part of the room and drop down to the next room.

Before going to the left, jump up while facing left and shoot the spider on
the ceiling here to take care of him. Once the bottom one drops down, quickly
run to the left and drop down, turn around and pelt it with Mega Buster shots
until it dies. Continue to the right and you'll see a platform on a chain.
These things aren't so bad now but when mixed with spikes, they become nasty.
Jump on the first one and run to the right to get some momentum going. You
should have enough to jump on the next done. Do so and run right again and
jump to land on the third one below you. Now, the fourth one requires a bit
more stronger swing, so run to the right, then to the left, and then to the
right once more to jump on the fourth one. Now, here's where things get
tricky. Running too far to the right and swinging the platform too far to the
right will next you an instadeath on the spikes, so swing it gently and jump
off carefully as you land on the platform near the gate.

Once you go through the gate, you'll fight a mini boss here. The fight starts
off as boulders fall from the top and eventually a boulder with a face drops
down. Once it drops, jump down. Otherwise you'll be momentarily stunned.
Start shooting it and it'll charge at you and roll back up the side and back
into the ceiling. How a boulder can go UP a wall, I have no clue. Now, pay
attention to the ceiling. The small trail of pebbles will indicate where he
will drop from next. If there are none, he'll drop down from either the far
left or right side, depending on which wall he rolled up. Repeat the process
until he dies.

Once you exit this room, some diamond shaped enemies will come at you. They'll
open up for a few seconds to shoot at you. Once they're open, shoot them to
destroy them. Make your way to the other side of the room and continue to the
next room. You'll eventually see two more mine carts. Destroy them and
CAREFULLY APPROACH THE FIRST PIT. A flying object will come out of one so
destroy it and jump over. Destroy the next flying object from the second pit
and jump over it. The next two pits don't have any flying objects so jump over
them and you'll find another platform linked to a chain. Start swinging it to
the right but not so much, otherwise you'll slam right into the spikes.
Lightly jump off the platform while holding right as you swing near it to avoid
the spikes and shoot the diamond enemy that comes at you. You can't get the
items down below you yet since you don't have the Hornet Chaser. Continue to
the next room and you'll eventually run into another platform, but this one is
super nasty. It has spikes ALL OVER THE DAMN ROOM and you have to swing it
just enough to jump down the middle. Thankfully it's easier than it looks.
Start off by running to the left and then run to the right. As it's swinging
forcefully to the right, jump down the open area going down the middle.

Down here, continue to the right and you'll find some more of those floating
green lines and spiders crawling around on the ceiling. Take care of them as
you move to the right and at the end, you'll find an enemy that jumps into the
air. If these hit you, they'll take off nearly 1/4 of your life. They also
take about 12 shots to take out but thankfully they're easy to dodge as you can
run under them if they jump through the air. Once it's gone, go through the
gates.

| Jewel Man |

Weakness: Black Hole Bomb

Weakness Strategy: Oh you look so fabulous, Jewel Man! Jewel Man is actually
a very easy robot master as long as you remember one thing: He jumps when you
do. Once the fight starts, pull out your Black Hole Bomb and push the fire
button on your Wiimote once and push it once more to actually activate the
bomb. Jewel Man's shield will be sucked into the hole and he'll run into it,
taking damage. Do a small jump so that Jewel Man jumps over you and depending
on where you placed the Black Hole Bomb, he'll run into it again before it
disappears. Rinse and repeat.

If you want to kill him in a cheap way for the 10 second achievement, once
he gets hit by the Black Hole Bomb and runs past it, pause the game and it
will disappear. Quickly shoot another one and he'll run into it again. Keep
doing this until he dies.

Arm Cannon Strategy: This is pretty simple but since you can't disperse his
shield so easily this time, it's a bit more challenging in general. Everytime
you hit his shield with an arm cannon shot, that piece will fly at you, so keep
your distance and lightly jump so he jumps over you. Once he runs across the
screen about 3 or 4 times, he'll stop and throw the remaining jewels of his
shield at you. Jump over this and keep shooting him.

No Damage Strategy: It's recommended to use the Black Hole Bomb for this. Just
use one Black Hole to get rid of his shield temporarily and to damage him
pretty well and lightly jump to avoid him jumping into you and you'll win
easily without taking any damage.

Plug Man
--------
(PM5)

Level Difficulty: Medium
Boss With Weakness: Easy
Boss With Arm Cannon: Hard

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Begin the stage by going to the right as per usual and you'll find some of
those spinning things from Mega Man 2. They come out in infinite numbers as
well here so if you ever need to refill your life or weapons, these are your
guys right here. Hop onto the pipe and go to the right and you'll see a spark
rolling around on the next platform. Wait until it's out of the way and jump
on it and quickly jump onto the next set of pipes and then the next platform.
At the end of the room, you'll see a Large Screw sitting snuggly between two
pipes that you could reach by sliding. Only one problem, though. You can't
slide with Mega Man in this game. The only way to get that Screw is if you
had the Hornet Chaser, which you most likely don't if you're following this
guide. Continue to the next screen.

Wait for the sparks to go down the ladder and then proceed left, waiting for
the other one to go up the ladder. Climb the ladder. Head a bit to the right
and you will see every Mega Man's player nightmare, the disappearing blocks.
Thankfully this is the only level they appear in and they're quite easy to get
past. The first set is an easy one to memorize, so do it and make your way to
the next set. Another set to easily memorize. Once you reach the third set,
study the blocks so that you can take the top route. Grab the Large Screw and
keep going along the top route to find a 1-Up below you. Drop down and hold
left to get it. Once you drop down, you'll notice two out of place screens
that seem to have some static in them. When you run past one, a clone of Mega
Man will come out. It takes 2 Mega Buster shots to kill one, so kill at least
one so you can get the "World Warrior" achievement at the end of the game.
Drop down to the next level.

The room will become dark and there will be another screen here. You can
simply jump over this one to avoid the Mega Man clone. Some disappearing
blocks will start appearing (the irony, I know) here now. This time, however,
you have no safety net as if you fall, you'll die since it's a pit right below
you and for the next two sets. Jump on the first block and wait for the
second one to appear. Jump on it and you'll notice two blocks that will appear
with one on the bottom and then on appearing directly over it. Once the
bottom one appears, jump down and wait a few seconds before jumping up and
landing on the one above you. Jump onto the next one and then jump on the next
platform with two sparks on it. Quickly run to the right and wait for the
first block of the next set to appear and jump on it. The ceiling is lower
this time so you'll need to time your jumps perfectly here. Just jump on the
blocks as they appear until you reach the next platform. For the final set,
follow the blocks until you reach a wall and a place to jump down. Wait until
a block is down below and land on it and jump on the next one to the right.
Wait for the next block near you to appear and then wait for the next one that
will appear to the left of you to appear. Jump on it and jump up as a block
will appear above you shortly. Jump across the next two blocks and grab the
four Small Screws and Energy Tank up here. You'll release two Mega Man Clones
but the rewards are all too sweet.

Continue right and let the clones hit the spikes. Go back and get the Large
Energy and Weapon Capsule if you want it. Keep going to the right and you'll
see some more pipes here as well as those spinning enemies. You can either
use the Rush Coil to get to the top here or go to the right and use the pipes
as jumping aides to get the Large Screw. Either way, continue on and you'll
eventually reach the boss gates.

O----------O
| Plug Man |
O----------O

Weakness: Jewel Satellite

Weakness Strategy: This is almost too easy. Once you use the Jewel Satellite,
all of Plug Man's Plug Balls will bounce off you. Just stand near him on the
platform he's on and the Satellite will hit him, taking off a chunk of his
health. Keep in mind that you have as much energy with this as he does health,
so don't screw around with it.

Arm Cannon Strategy: This is going to be a bit difficult. Once the fight
starts, get on even ground and start firing as many Mega Buster shots as you
can while jumping over the Plug Balls that come your way. The Plug Balls will
drop down on you once they get above you so move forward a bit. DO NOT move
backwards as Plug Man will only corner you. When Plug Man jumps through the
air, quickly run underneath him, get to a safe distance and start shooting him
again.

No Damage Strategy: The Jewel Satellite takes care of the Plug Balls, which
only leaves the jumping. When you're hitting him with the Satelitte, don't get
too close to him, otherwise he'll hit you. When he tries to land on you, run
away and pull out the Satelitte if there already isn't a shield around you.
That's all there is to say to this fight, really.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tornado Man
-----------
(TM6)

Level Difficulty: Medium
Boss With Weakness: Easy
Boss WitH Arm Cannon: Medium

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once the level begins, climb up to the next screen and you'll be introduced to
a new enemy here. Jump up to get on level with it. Now, if you shoot the
robot itself about 3 or 4 times, it will die and the balloon will float up.
If you shoot the balloon itself, it'll pop and the robot will come flying at
you, turn around and fly back at you so choose the way you want to kill it
wisely. On the next screen, kill the two Mets. You'll realize that there is
a battery type of thing here going back and forth. If you jump on it, Mega
Man will latch onto it and roll with it, meaning he'll be turned upside down
temporarily then come right side up. Wait until you're under the ladder and
Mega Man is on top before jumping on the ladder.

On the next screen, take out the balloon enemy and when you go a bit more to
the right, you'll see another one of those rotating platforms, only they
decided to make it a pain in the ass to get across here since there are more
than one this time. With spikes on the ground and in the air to boot. Now
you can be cheap and use Rush Jet, or actually do the platforming yourself.
We're going to be doing the ladder. Jump on the first platform and ride it to
the right. Once the second platform is visible and Mega Man is able to jump
upwards, jump and land on it. The next one, drop down to latch onto it and
you'll come to another platform. Jump on it. I think you get the idea here.
I can't really tell you that much here except that your timing needs to be
good. I can't actually help you with that. Once you reach the end of this
hell hole, continue on.

In this area, you'll slide across the ice, so be careful and don't slip off the
edge and onto the spikes. On the next screen, two shield enemies will be here.
Wait until you get an opening to drop down and take them out. Upon going to
the right, you'll notice an enemy that shoots out little shots. I'm sure you
remember these little Snipers from the first game. Take it out and continue
on. Take out the Met and Sniper and grab the Large Screw sitting on the
isolated platform on the top right portion of the screen. Climb up and you'll
notice now that it's raining. Since the rain is going to the left, that means
you'll be pushed back once you jump. I would recommend using the Jewel
Satellite for this area as Umbrella will fall from the sky and if you hit one,
chances are you'll fall to your death. Once you get a bit further, you'll see
some moving platforms. Oh joy, just what we needed! Jump on the first one.
If you need to, adjust yourself so you're sitting on the right end of it. Once
the next one that's on top comes into view, jump on it and ride it. Once you
reach the end of this area, drop down.

The rain will be going in the opposite direction here, meaning when you jump,
you'll be pushed forward. Go to the right a bit and you'll notice a 1-Up
sitting on a small platform. Use the Rush Coil to get up there and get it.
Just be cautious of the Umbrella enemy that comes down. The next part involves
jumping over a series of small platforms, which can be easily done this time as
long as you don't over shoot them. Along the way you'll reach a Large Screw.
You can get it if you want, but I recommend ignoring it as it's a pain to get
without the Hornet Chaser. Continue to the right and you'll find the boss
gates.

O-------------O
| Tornado Man |
O-------------O

Weakness: Plug Ball

Weakness Strategy: Tornado Man has a simple pattern. He'll summon Tornadoes
from the ground. To avoid these, simply run either left or right. While he's
doing this, it's an ideal time to hit him with a couple of Plug Balls. After
about two Tornado rounds, he'll hover in the air and either try to land on you
or shoot some more Tornadoes. You can either wait until he comes back down or
if he's high enough and close to the ceiling, you can shoot a Plug Ball and let
it crawl on the wall to him as you run to dodge the Tornadoes.

Arm Cannon Strategy: This is pretty much the same strategy with the Plug Ball
excep that you'll want to hit him while he's in the air as well. Start off
him running away from the Tornadoes while hitting him with Mega Buster shots.
Once he's hovering in the air, keep running and then jump carefully and hit him
with some more shots. Once he tries to land on you, fire off a couple more
and run away. Repeat.

No Damage Strategy: This one is about being patient rather than killing him as
fast as you can. Once the battle starts, if he starts shooting off Tornadoes,
run towards him while shooting a couple of Plug Balls to dodge the Tornadoes
then run the other way to avoid them again and unload a couple more Plug Balls.
When he's in the air, if he's not near the ceiling, just keep running to avoid
the Tornadoes until he tries to land on you. Once you dodge that safely, hit
him a few more times and dodge him if he tries landing on you again.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Magma Man
---------
(MM7)

Level Difficulty: Medium
Boss With Weakness: Very Easy
Boss With Arm Cannon: Very Hard

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once the level begins, tread to the right a little bit and a flying machine
with a shield over its face will come at you, stop, and shoot a flame thrower.
Just keep your distance until it flies off the screen and continue on. Another
one will try to hit you. Just keep your distance again until it decides to
piss off. Once you reach the end of this screen, you'll notice some blue bot
things in the lava below you. They shoot little flame shots up and jump, but
since the platform you're on is too high, it's not a problem. The last part
of this screen might pose as a problem, however. You need to make quite a
difficult jump towards a ladder. If you want to use a cheap method, have the
little blue bot jump into you, quickly run across the lava and then climb the
ladder.

Up here, you'll find some totem pole type enemies. Jump and shoot their heads
four times to destroy them. Climb the ladder and you'll come across some more
of those flying flamethrowers. As you proceed to the right, you'll find a
nasty little toy that Wily has whipped up: A Magma Shooters. These magma beams
will instantly kill you if you touch them, so be careful. As you proceed past
these, a couple of flying flamethrowers will come at you, so make sure to jump
behind them as you won't have enough room to fight with one of them. On the
next screen, climb the ladder and kill the totem enemy and grab the Large
Screw. Climb to the top and drop down.

UPDATE: Apparently if you use a Black Hole Bomb, it will suck off the Flames
off of the Dragon itself, leaving it defenseless as it flies through it. Many
thanks to IceQueenZer0 and Bob Rissetto for this. Sorry it took me this long
to add it in.

You'll fight a mini boss here, the Flame Dragon. This guy is actually tough
and it's hard not to get hit here. Once he starts coming at you, he'll shoot
some fireballs with three of them racing out to hit you. You can recognize
these ones as they have faces on them. Now, you can use the simple method here
and use the Tornado Blow but I'd recommend using that for the boss. So the
only other alternative is to blast it in the face with your Mega Buster as you
dodge the fireballs that try to hit you. In the next room, run to the right
and one of those blue bots will start coming at you from behind. Shoot it and
then a bit further to the right, another one will come down the platform ahead
of you. Take it out and take the top path, taking out the totem pole type
enemies until you reach the end of the room. There's a 1-Up up here, so grab
it and drop down to the lower part of the room. Jump across the pit (you'll
need to time it so that your head doesn't hit the edge of the platform above
you) to reach the next screen. If you're having trouble with it, let the blue
bot hit you to cross safely.

In this room, there's one magma beam shooter here. Let it shoot and run past
it once it stops and climb the ladder. Wait for it to stop again and run to
the left, climbing the ladder. This last screen is a final stretch that has
more magma beam shooters. Along the way, you'll find a Large Energy Capsule
tucked in the corner. Only get it if you really need the health. If not,
continue on, taking out the blue bots in the way until you reach the gates.

O-----------O
| Magma Man |
O-----------O

Weakness: Tornado Blow

Weakness Strategy: This is pretty much a gimmie fight. Get out the Torando
Blow and use it. If you actually time it right, you can kill him with the
Tornado Blow as sometimes you can get him twice in one shot but you have to
learn his movements and study where the Tornadoes come out from your current
position very carefully, but I digress. Once you use the Tornado Blow, his
flames will disperse, leaving him with tiny weak flame shots. Once you run out
of ammo, switch over to the Mega Buster to take him out.

Arm Cannon Strategy: Magma Man is no doubt the toughest Robot Master to take
out with the Arm Cannon and I'd recommend bringing a couple of Energy Tanks
just incase. His pattern consists of attacking and shooting a flame shot that
splits in three directions, so it's easy to learn his pattern. It's difficult
to actually time yourself to avoid him when he gets near you by avoiding his
body AND flame shots. The way I did it was wait on the platform closest to
the lowest one and wait for him to get to my level and start shooting him with
my Mega Buster. When he was across from me, he jumped over me and I just ran
underneath him, landing on the very lowest platform and then jumping on the one
right next to me and kept firing at him. It was a slow process but it was the
safest method I could think of.

Or you can just watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acHZnlAy8VQ
Thanks to my buddy Nelson for letting me use it.

No Damage Strategy: Just use the Tornado Blow to make his shots go flying off
screen and to make his shots smaller. Finish him with the Mega Buster and he's
dead. The only concern you may have is if he gets too close. If he does,
wait for him to jump just high enough to run under him.

Or you can just watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acHZnlAy8VQ
Thanks to my buddy Nelson for letting me use it.

Hornet Man
----------
(HM8)

Level Difficulty: Medium
Boss With Weakness: Very Easy
Boss With Arm Cannon: Easy

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once the level starts off, start by going to the right and take out the mine
cart enemies. You'll be introduced to a flower pot enemy here that shoots
flowers out that will home in on you. It takes four shots to take one out.
Go a bit more to the right and shoot the other flower pot and jump up the set
of platforms to reach the ladder on the right. In this room, you'll notice a
snail shaped type of mechanism. Jump on the little platform there is and run
at it while shooting a shot from the Mega Buster. It will actually roll out,
expanding the platform out. Quickly run across it and jump on the ladder and
climb it.

You'll notice a Large Screw sitting on a platform to the left of you with some
spikes on the ceiling. If you want it, set Rush Coil as close to the platform
as possible without hitting your head on it. Jump and hold left to get it
safely. Jump back down and head a bit to the right and a pair of scissors will
fly on screen, or at least two parts of one. If you shoot either part, the
other one will fly off the screen, meaning if you shoot the the bottom part, it
will be destroyed and the top one will dive downwards. If you shoot the top
part, the bottom part will fly upwards. If you don't shoot either part,
they'll form into one pair of scissors and fly across the screen and then come
back at you. Continue to the right, jumping over the spikes and you'll find
another pair of scissors. Shoot the bottom part. On the next screen, you'll
see some kind of vacuum type of enemy chained to the wall. It doesn't do
anything at all until you shoot it. Once you shoot it, it will shoot a huge
ball at where you're standing that will take out the floor underneath you.
Stand over the Large Screw and shoot the machine to make it destroy the floor.
Drop down and get the Large Screw and drop down to the next screen. Destroy
the very far left floor and drop down. On the next screen, immediately start
firing to hit the machine on the way down and it will destroy the floor
covering the 1-Up. Grab it and destroy the next floor to drop down. Don't
freak out as you drop when you see the spikes. A floor is there to protect
you. Have the machine destroy the two middle tiles between the spikes on the
bottom row and drop down.

Here we have an interesting and annoying mini boss. A flower will pop out from
one of the 8 platforms in the room and shoot its flower petals at you. What
you need to do is shoot at it whenever you can. Each time you hit it, it will
sink back down into the platform, even if it isn't done shooting yet. What
makes this annoying is that in the middle of the room, there is a large flower
that looks like a clock hand that moves around the room in a clock wise
direction. You'll need to avoid this as you shoot the flower. There's no way
to tell which platform it will pop up from so keep moving and shoot it when you
get the chance. Once it dies, drop down.

Down here, you'll need to be quick on your toes since you'll have to shoot
those snail like things again to reveal some more platforms. To make matters
worse, scissors will come flying at you as you're trying to make your way off
this screen. Once you come to a split, take the upper path as it's the safest
one. Once you're able to jump back down, watch out for the scissors and keep
going to the right. At the final one, roll it out and watch out for the two
pairs of scissors here. Drop down to the next level. Take out the mine cart
enemy and the flower pot, which for some reason shoots a cactus. I always
wanted to see a flying cactus in a Mega Man game and my wish has come true!
Climb the ladder and drop down to the next area. Take out the first three
flower pots you see and continue to the right. Above you there is a Large
Energy Capsule and Weapon Capsule. Get them if you want and keep going to the
right. You'll eventually spot a 1-Up that you can get without too much of a
hassle. Take out the flower pot then the stomping machine near the boss gates.
Climb the ladder, get the 1-Up and climb back down the ladder. The stomper
has respawned but you should have ample time to get through the gates.

O------------O
| Hornet Man |
O------------O

Weakness: Magma Bazooka

Weakness Strategy: The Magma Bazooka makes this fight a joke. All Hornet Man
does is shoot out three Hornets and run across the screen. Since the Magma
Bazooka shoots out in three different directions, you can take out all the
Hornets with one shot if you jump up a bit and shoot. If you do, just start
shooting at Hornet Man as he runs across the room. Make sure to jump over him
and continue pelting him. If you want, you can charge up and hit him that
way but it's much more easier to just spam regular shots on him.

Arm Cannon Strategy: This is also an easy fight with the Arm Cannon. The only
real difference is that each Hornet now takes two shots to kill but you can
easily take out at least one of them before they start homing in on you. Don't
go for style points here and just start pelting Hornet Man as soon as you can
and jump over him as he runs at you. Take out the Hornets if you can't dodge
them. It's all too simple.

No Damage Strategy: This one is easy to do. As long as you can take out the
Hornets before they start homing in on you with the Magma Bazooka and you jump
over Hornet Man as he runs at you, you can kill him with no trouble whatsoever.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dr. Wily's Castle: Part 1
-------------------------
(DW1)

Level Difficulty: Medium
Boss With Weakness: N/A
Boss With Arm Cannon: Easy

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once the level begins, start treading to the right and some blue bots will
appear on the screen. Take out any you come across and you'll reach some pits.
Flying objects come out of the pits so you'll have to watch yourself when you
jump. To make matters worse, birds that carry those rocks are back and tend
to drop them close enough to the pit to knock you into one if you get hit by
one, so be careful. At the end of the area, there's a bulldozer with a large
red shield. Shoot it to wake it up and get close enough so that he gets ready
to push the shield down. Jump back a bit to avoid it and shoot it until it
dies. Pull out the Tornado Blow and stand on the platform with the propeller
underneath it and use a Tornado Blow to make the platform rise up.

Climb the ladder and repeat the same process in this room but jump over to the
left platform as the right one begins to rise. Once you reach the next area,
grab the Large Weapon Capsule and use the Tornado Blow again to continue to the
right. Grab the other Large Weapon Capsule and keep using the Tornado Blow to
advance to the right. When you reach a split, stay along the upper path and
grab the 1-Up. Drop down to the platform below and just jump to the next one.
You don't need to use a Tornado Blow to make it. In this area, there are two
more bulldozer type enemies. Wake up the first one by shooting it and wait
until it drops its shield. Once it does, shoot it until it does. For the
second one, climb the ladder and jump on the platform it's on and shoot it.
Jump back to avoid the shield that come crashing down and then finish it off.
Climb the ladder.

In this area, carefully go beneath the tree enemies and then take them out once
you get on their level. In the next room, you'll have to fight another Flame
Dragon, which can either be a sigh of relief for some, or a "Oh hell no!" to
others. Either way, use the strategy you used on it before and go to the
right. If you need a 1-Up, use the Hornet Chaser and go to the right to find
some pipes and those spinning enemies. I would recommend filling up at least
the Tornado Blow here or your health if you need to. Once you're ready, climb
the ladder and you'll find a magma beam here. Wait for it to stop shooting and
use Rush Coil to reach the ladder. Now this room... this room is probably the
biggest pain in the ass in the entire game. Here's what you'll want to do:

Once you enter the room, immediately hold right and call Rush Coil. Jump on it
and latch onto the left ladder. Climb up two screens and use a Laser Trident
to take out the two blocks guarding an Energy Tank. Now, the next part is
tricky. Pull out Rush Jet and drop back down two screens where the three Magma
Beams shoot out. Once you reach that screen, stay on the left side and land
on the MIDDLE of the three Magma Beam shooters and quickly turn right. Call
Rush Jet and ride him over to the right ladder and climb it up. Avoid the
last Magma Beam on the next screen and you're set.

In the next room, jump on the platform and run left and right until you get
enough momentum to jump into the right teleporting box. Do so and climb the
ladder once you shoot out the other end. Jump across the gaps and climb the
ladder on the other side of the room. Use the Rush Jet to get to the other
ladder to reach the next room. Take out the tree enemies here and climb the
ladder. Take out the green bulldozer and jump through the gates.

O------------O
| Quad Shots |
O------------O

Weakness: N/A

Arm Cannon Strategy: Since I know of no weaknesses for this boss, you'll have
to stick to your Arm Cannon. The gimmick to this fight is to shoot the spike
balls into the robots at the end of the small corridors to damage them. If a
spike ball reaches too far out, the robot on that level will start shooting
boomerang shaped shots directly at you. All you have to do is just shoot the
balls into the robots and you're golden. I found the best way to deal with
this fight is to focus on the second, third, and bottom robots while dodging
the top robot. It's as simple as that.

No Damage Strategy: This one is simple. What I did for this one was I started
on the third from the top and shot the ball at the robot. I dropped down to
the bottom one and focused on that for one round and then finally focused on
the second row for one round. After that, I alternated between the second and
third rows while the top and bottom rows shot those boomerang shaped shots at
me. If you stand on the platform near the gate, you can simply jump over those
shots while focusing on the two middle ones. Once they're destroyed, you
pretty much won this fight without getting hit.

Dr. Wily's Castle: Part 2
-------------------------
(DW2)

Level Difficulty: Medium
Boss With Weakness: Easy
Boss With Arm Cannon: Medium

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are two Large Weapon Capsules to your left and right when you start.
Fill up any two weapons that need to be filled up the most and climb the right
ladder. Take out the Mets here and shoot the block with a Laser Trident to
decimate it. Use your Hornet Chaser to get the 1-Up and climb the ladder.
In this room, use a Black Hole Bomb to suck in all three of the sparks rolling
around and jump across the blocks to reach the ladder at the end. Climb up
and jump across the last three sets of blocks. Shoot the Green Devil Eye to
split it up and then shoot the block with a Laser Trident. Take care of the
next two Green Devil Eyes and proceed to the next area.

You'll find some hologram type of enemies here that make false blocks. Just
quickly scan the room and memorize where the real blocks up. Use the Rush Coil
for the first room with the holograms to get to the second level. Take out the
Sniper if you want. Climb the ladder on the left and proceed to the next
ladder. The two blocks under the ladders are fake if the holograms covered it,
so watch it. The next room, there are two more holograms. One will make a
false floor under some spikes, so DON'T JUMP TOO HIGH. THAT FLOOR WILL NOT
STOP YOU FROM HURLING YOURSELF INTO THOSE SPIKES. Take out the Sniper and
climb the next ladder. In this room, quickly take out the holograms and hop
across the blocks to the ladder. Feel free to use the Rush Jet in the next
room.

You'll run into that mini boss from Hornet Man's stage here, so follow the
same method you used last time to take it out and drop down the new opening
that appears. There's a Large Energy and Weapon Capsule to the right of you.
If you need them, get them before going underwater. You don't have to fight
the octopus on top but you need to take care of the one on the bottom. Drop
down and take it out while lightly jumping across the spike infested pits.
I wouldn't recommend taking the lower path at the split you come across. It
leads to an Energy Tank but it's a pain in the ass to get. Save yourself the
trouble and traverse across the top path while avoiding the mines. Climb the
ladder at the end. Take care of the flying penguins here and continue on.

Take out the middle block with the Laser Trident and shoot the jet penguins
that come at you from behind as you proceed further. Grab the Large Weapon
Capsule if you want and take the top path. Destroy the block at the end as
well as the jet penguins that come flying at you. Drop down and shoot the next
two blocks and jump across the spike pit. There's a Large Energy Capsule
sitting at the top but only get it if you need it. Otherwise, take the lower
path to the ladder. Up here, take out the two jet penguins that come flying
at you as you try to land on the small middle platform before advancing to
the ladder.

Take out the UFOs here and climb the ladder at the end of the room. Keep going
until you're at the top. Drop down and hold right to get into the small
opening on the wall and climb back up. Take out the UFOs, wall climber, and
Stomper here and go left. Take out the last Stomper and proceed through the
boss gates.

Weakness/Arm Cannon Strategy: This is the second easiest part of the entire
fight. You'll be fighting the tail first, which shoots three missiles. Each
time to destroy them, it will shoot three new missiles. Shoot it with the
Laser Trident or Arm Cannon once it gets down to your level. The Laser Trident
might be a good choice since it can shoot through each missile if they're lined
up.

No Damage Strategy: You'll need to watch the missile movements carefully here.
If one goes out of line and flies in a different direction, try to take it out
as quickly as possible. If you can't, jump over it if you can and take it out
then. Other than that, just follow the above strategy to take it out.

Part 2
------

Weakness Strategy: This one is simple. Just use the Torando Blow until the
two hatches are destroyed.

Arm Cannon Strategy: This is a tad more tougher. If you jump too high, the
spikes will damage you. You'll need to jump just high enough to be able to
hit the hatches with your Mega Buster. If the ship is too low, shoot the
enemies that come from the hatches until you have jumping room to shoot at the
hatches again.

No Damage Strategy: It's nearly impossible to get hit if you're using the
Tornado Blow.

Part 3
------

Arm Cannon Strategy: This is another simple part. Wait until it opens its
mouth and start shooting at the cannon. Just don't jump in the way of the
lasers it shoots out, otherwise you'll take quite a hefty amount of damage.
The only lasers that can really hit you are the ones that it shoots starting
from the very bottom. Other than that, jump and shoot when you can.

No Damage Strategy: You'll want to study the height of the lasers when they're
shot near the bottom. For most of them, you can just stay on the ground and
you'll avoid them cleanly but if it starts from the bottom, jump over the
first laser and wait for the others to pass you by. Then jump and start
shooting at it whenever it opens its mouth again.

Dr. Wily's Castle: Part 3
-------------------------
(DW3)

Level Difficulty: Hard
Boss With Weakness: Easy
Boss With Arm Cannon: Easy

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When the level begins, head right and shoot the two Stompers you come across.
In the next room, you'll be in anti-gravity room. If you want to move to the
right, face left and shoot your Mega Buster to fly to the right. Vice versa if
you want to go left. On the second screen of this area, you'll see some Devil
Eyes. Avoid them and repeat this until you reach the top. Once you get up
there, climb the ladder. Jump over the small hill here and take out the
shield and diamond that appear on screen. Jump over the first spike pit and
dodge the diamond that immediately comes out and shoots at you. Be careful of
how high you jump for the next couple of parts. At the end, grab the Small
Energy Capsule if you need it. Drop down and take out the diamond here. Grab
the two Small Energy Capsules if you need them. Drop down the right path here.

While falling, hold left to land on a platform with 4 Small Weapon Capsules.
Fill up any weapon that needs it (most likely the Tornado Blow if you used it
the last fight) and drop down again. Climb down the right ladder and get the
Large Weapon Capsule. Climb back up and drop down to the left. Hug along the
wall on the left once you land to avoid the shield that comes flying at you
and then destroy it. Take care of the second one and you'll eventually find a
Sniper. Latch onto the ladder and climb up or drop down to avoid its shots as
you shoot at it. Climb the ladder and take out the Sniper at the top. Grab
the Large Energy Capsule and proceed to the next area.

You'll be in another anti-gravity room. Stay as far left as possible. If you
fly too far off to the right, a Heli Grappler will grab you and ram you into
the spikes. On the next screen, avoid the spikes as you shoot to the right or
left. Repeat the same process for the third screen while avoiding the Devil
Eyes. Now, before entering the fourth screen, position yourself on the left
side of the screen but not all the way to the left. Once you enter the next
screen, a Heli Grappler will come down if you're sitting near the left side of
the screen. Time your shots here while facing left to launch yourself to the
right and obtain the Mystery Tank. Launch yourself to the left now and climb
the ladder at the top.

This room is why the Mets are evil in this game. It looks like there are three
1-Ups here, but the top left one is the only real one. If you approach the one
on the right, a Met will pop up and shoot you. I nearly crapped myself when
I saw three 1-Ups and got my face plastered in by a Met. Kill the two False
Mets (as I'll call them) and the regular Met. Proceed to the right, taking
out the cannons and Mets. Make sure to watch how high you jump here as the
spikes on the ceiling can get pretty low. Once you're on the single blocks,
take out the Sniper and carefully go to the right. There's a False Met hiding
in the lower right corner, so don't be fooled by thinking it's a 1-Up. Jump
onto the ledge and take out the Stomper. Jump up the steps and drop down a
couple of screens and through the boss gate.

O---------------O
| Devil Amoebas |
O---------------O

Weakness: Black Hole Bomb

Weakness Strategy: This boss is just like the goddamned Yellow Devil from
Mega Man 1. These Amoebas will pretty much transfer their pieces to each other
in a set pattern. Count how many times they do it and count which numbers you
jump for. The eye in the middle is what you're wanting to aim for. It's
either the 6th or 7th piece that shoots out so when it does, shoot a Black
Hole Bomb at it to take off a good amount of its health. Lucky for you, once
you learn the patterns of the boss, you won't have too much trouble as the
pattern in which they transfer blobs is ALWAYS THE SAME.

Arm Cannon Strategy: This is a straight forward fight. Just dodge the blobs
that come at you and shoot the core that comes flying out to damage it.
Repeat the process.

No Damage Strategy: I'm leaving this vacant until I go back and play the game
once more and list at what numbers you should jump. I'll explain this later.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dr. Wily's Castle: Part 4
-------------------------
(DW4)

Level Difficulty: Very Easy
Boss With Weakness: Medium
Boss With Arm Cannon: Hard

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is it, Mega Man friends. This is the last stage of the game. Grab the
four Small Weapon Capsules near the beginning and drop down. You'll notice a
red beam here. You'll have to use the Concrete Shot to temporarily block the
laser out so you can continue. The path is straight forward and the concept
is easy to grasp: Concrete Shot all the lasers you come across. The last one
involves you to shoot a second Concrete Shot to reach the higher platform.
Once you reach the end, grab the Large Weapon and Energy Capsule before
dropping down.

Like in all Mega Man games, you'll need to fight all the Robot Masters again.
And in true fashion too; you have to hop into their capsules! The capsules
contain the following Robot Masters:

O----O O----O
| GM | | PM |
O----O O----O

O----O O----O
| CM | | TM |
O----O O----O

O----O O----O O----O O----O
| SW | | JM | | HM | | MM |
O----O O----O O----O O----O

GM = Galaxy Man
CM = Concrete Man
SW = Splash Ma-- err.. Woman
JM = Jewel Man [SO FABULOUS GIRLFRIEND!]
HM = Hornet Man
MM = Magma Man [NOT Mega Man]
TM = Tornado Man
PM = Plug Man [Hehe.. Plug]

Once you defeat all 8 Robot Masters again, one last capsule will appear in the
middle of the stage. It's show time!

O----------O
| Dr. Wily |
O----------O

Part 1
------

Weakness: Arm Cannon

Arm Cannon Strategy: This is pretty much a game of catch. You have to shoot
the dinosaur eggs that Wily's Mechadino vomits out and make them explode on its
chin. Fear not though, my friend, as I have a way for you to land an egg on
its face every time. When the battle starts, stand in the corner and IGNORE
THE FIRST TWO EGGS THAT WILY SHOOTS. Once the third one comes out, start
shooting your Mega Buster so it bounces back and hits Wily. It takes three
hits to actually make it explode. Once the first one explodes, ignore the next
one it shoots out. Only shoot the ones that he shoots out when he's far away
from you. Those ones will hit 100% as long as you keep spamming your Mega
Buster.

No Damage Strategy: Just time your Mega Buster shots perfectly once you get in
the groove of the egg patterns.

Part 2
------

Weakness: Concrete Shot

Weakness Strategy: This one might be a tad more difficult but there's a little
trick to be had here. Wily will do one of two things:

-Hover in the air and try to land on you. To avoid this, stay in the left
corner and wait for him to go over there. Run to the right and he'll follow
you. Once you get far enough, start running back and there should be a safe
distance between you and the Mechadino. After he lands, he'll shoot out an
arc of fire that can be easily dodged by jumping and holding right.

-Back up and then come flying at you, stopping near the edge of the screen.
If you stay over at the corner of the screen, he can't hit you. Once he stops,
he'll shoot another arc of fire out. To avoid this, once he comes over to you,
jump into the air and the fire arc will be too high to hit you.

Either way, just start shooting Concrete Shots at his mouth as he gets near
you or once he lands after hovering in the air before jumping over the fire
arc.

Arm Cannon Strategy: This is pretty much the same process as before, only it
will take more hits. Just make sure to avoid his moves and learn his pattern.

No Damage Strategy: Just time your jumps here and make sure to hold right as
you jump over the fire arc after Wily lands on the ground after hovering over
you for a short time.

Part 3
------

Weakness: Plug Ball

Weakness Strategy: This is actually tough to pull off here since Wily needs to
be near you and at a height in which the Plug Ball will hit him. Wily will
teleport around the room and either shoot out six sparks; three on the floor
and three on the ceiling. This is easy to dodge as all you need to do is jump
over the sparks on the ground and position yourself while jumping to avoid the
sparks dropping from the ceiling. The second move he'll do is shoot out four
blue orbs that will home in one you but they go in a straight line so simply
jump over these.

To actually damage him, you'll need to get close to him to actually damage him
since the Plug Ball drops straight down once you shoot it so wait until you
get an opening to hit him and make sure you're actually able to hit him if he's
a bit high in the air. You can get off about 3-4 Plug Balls when you're next
to him.

Arm Cannon Strategy: This will take a lot of patience as you'll have to wait
until he's on your jumping level. Once he is, jump and shoot him and then
avoid the attack he shoots out. Just repeat this process until he dies.
That's all there is to it.

No Damage Strategy: This is the toughest one to get. His attacks are easily
identifiable but it's real easy to slip up and get hit here. For the six
sparks he shoots you, you need to remember that the ones on the ceiling will
drop down once they're above you. Jump over the three on the ground and give
yourself enough room to move left or right while in the air to get in the gap
between the sparks above you when they start falling.

For the four orbs that home in on you, if possible, stay in the middle of them
and jump straight up to avoid them once they start coming at you. Also, it's
quite possible to have two of the orbs disappear off of the side of the screen
if Wily is close to the edge of the screen, so use that to your advantage.
Any other time, you'll have to quickly realize which direction the orbs are
going in and adjust your jumping that way.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Congrats! You've beaten Mega Man 9!

===================
4.) Achievements
===================

Here is a list of all the possible achievements to get ingame. I'll give
descriptions for those that I feel might need them.

1.) Waltz
How: Clear the game in 120 minutes or less.

2.) Tango
How: Clear the game in 90 minutes or less.

3.) Jitterbug
How: Clear the game in 60 minutes or less.

4.) Bust a Move
How: Don't miss with the Mega Buster and beat the game.
Notes: This one may seem very intimidating but there's a loophole to this: you
can use your special weapons and miss as much as you like, so you can just
clear the first stage without missing and then use the Laser Trident for the
rest of the game as it seems the Laser Trident is the best weapon to use for
this achievement.

5.) Headbanging
How: Defeat 8 bosses without your helmet.
Notes: This one sounds easy but it's actually quite tricky because of one main
thing: IF YOU DIE YOU'LL AUTOMATICALLY REGAIN YOUR HELMET. This only counts
towards the Robot Masters though.

6.) Bunny Hop
How: Beat any stage by jumping less than 50 times.

7.) Mr. Trigger Happy
How: Beat the game and fire more than 500 Arm Cannon shots.

8.) Double Trouble
How: Visit all stages twice before beating the game.
Notes: This only applies to the Robot Master stages.

9.) Mr. Perfect
How: Beat the game without getting hit once.
Notes: Oh my... this is near impossible to do and you have to have played this
game A LOT and have most, if not all enemy locations memorized and all enemy
boss patterns memorized. I can't really give you a tip other than the Jewel
Satellite is a GOD WEAPON for this achievement for those enemies that die in
one hit. Here's a quick rundown of each boss if you don't want to look it up
in the walkthrough:

Splash Woman
------------

No Damage Strategy: This is for those that are going for the "Mr. Perfect"
achievement. All you have to do is time your jumps when she calls for her fish
so that you clear over them and don't hit her as she makes her way to the top
of the room. Once her Tridents start coming down, wait in the corner until
she gets near you and run to the other side of the room to avoid the rest of
her Tridents. Just make sure to cleanly dodge any Tridents near you before
running to the other side of the room.

Concrete Man
------------

No Damage Strategy: This one is challenging since Concrete Man's movements are
random and he has no set pattern. Sometimes he'll shoulder ram twice,
sometimes he'll shoot a concrete shot right off the bat. Either way, make sure
to have the Laser Trident for this fight as it can break through the concrete
blocks that he shoots out. Just also remember to jump up in the air if he
jumps and tries to land on you.

Galaxy Man
----------

No Damage Strategy: Again, just jump over him as he tries to ram you and run
away as the Black Hole tries to suck you in.

Jewel Man
---------

No Damage Strategy: It's recommended to use the Black Hole Bomb for this. Just
use one Black Hole to get rid of his shield temporarily and to damage him
pretty well and lightly jump to avoid him jumping into you and you'll win
easily without taking any damage.

Plug Man
--------

No Damage Strategy: The Jewel Satellite takes care of the Plug Balls, which
only leaves the jumping. When you're hitting him with the Satelitte, don't get
too close to him, otherwise he'll hit you. When he tries to land on you, run
away and pull out the Satelitte if there already isn't a shield around you.
That's all there is to say to this fight, really.

Tornado Man
-----------

No Damage Strategy: This one is about being patient rather than killing him as
fast as you can. Once the battle starts, if he starts shooting off Tornadoes,
run towards him while shooting a couple of Plug Balls to dodge the Tornadoes
then run the other way to avoid them again and unload a couple more Plug Balls.
When he's in the air, if he's not near the ceiling, just keep running to avoid
the Tornadoes until he tries to land on you. Once you dodge that safely, hit
him a few more times and dodge him if he tries landing on you again.

Magma Man
---------

No Damage Strategy: Just use the Tornado Blow to make his shots go flying off
screen and to make his shots smaller. Finish him with the Mega Buster and he's
dead. The only concern you may have is if he gets too close. If he does,
wait for him to jump just high enough to run under him.

Or you can just watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acHZnlAy8VQ
Thanks to my buddy Nelson for letting me use it.

Hornet Man
----------

No Damage Strategy: This one is easy to do. As long as you can take out the
Hornets before they start homing in on you with the Magma Bazooka and you jump
over Hornet Man as he runs at you, you can kill him with no trouble whatsoever.

Quad Shots
----------

No Damage Strategy: This one is simple. What I did for this one was I started
on the third from the top and shot the ball at the robot. I dropped down to
the bottom one and focused on that for one round and then finally focused on
the second row for one round. After that, I alternated between the second and
third rows while the top and bottom rows shot those boomerang shaped shots at
me. If you stand on the platform near the gate, you can simply jump over those
shots while focusing on the two middle ones. Once they're destroyed, you
pretty much won this fight without getting hit.

Shark Attacker
--------------

Part 1
======

No Damage Strategy: You'll need to watch the missile movements carefully here.
If one goes out of line and flies in a different direction, try to take it out
as quickly as possible. If you can't, jump over it if you can and take it out
then. Other than that, just follow the above strategy to take it out.

Part 2
======

No Damage Strategy: It's nearly impossible to get hit if you're using the
Tornado Blow.

Part 3
======

Devil Amoebas
-------------

No Damage Strategy: I'm leaving this vacant until I go back and play the game
once more and list at what numbers you should jump. I'll explain this later.

Dr. Wily
--------

Part 1
======

No Damage Strategy: Just time your Mega Buster shots perfectly once you get in
the groove of the egg patterns.

Part 2
======

No Damage Strategy: Just time your jumps here and make sure to hold right as
you jump over the fire arc after Wily lands on the ground after hovering over
you for a short time.

Part 3
======

10.) Invincible
How: Beat the game without dying.
Notes: This may be a bit hard to get but buying the Shock Guard helps in the
long run. Make sure to pile up Energy Tanks too.

11.) Almost Invincible
How: Beat the game without continuing.
Notes: A cheap but effective way to do this is to buy 9 lives and Energy Tanks
from the shop.

12.) No Coffee Break
How: Beat the game without using Energy or Mystery Tanks.
Notes: Buying the half damage upgrade in the shop for Wily as well as having
plenty of lives is the way to go with this one.

13.) Air Shoes
How: Beat the game without falling into any holes.

14.) Mega Diet
How: Beat the game without picking up more than 8 Energy Capsules
Notes: This means you can only get the ones during the rematches with the
Robot Masters.

15.) Encore
How: Beat 4 stages using the same special weapon.

16.) Peacekeeper
How: Beat the game by killing the fewest amount of enemies.

17.) Conservationist
How: Beat the game by using as little weapon energy as possible.

18.) Farewell to Arms
How: Beat 4 stages WITHOUT using a special weapon.

19.) Gamer's Day
How: Beat the game 5 times in one day.
Notes: There's a loophole to this. You only have to beat Wily's castle 5 times
instead of starting back from the beginning each time, so make a separate save
slot for this one.

20.) Daily Dose
How: Beat the game once for 3 days.
Notes: You can simply beat the game once, go to the Wii Menu and change the
date to the next day and beat the game again.

21.) Whomp Wily
How: Beat the game once.

22.) Truly Addicted
How: Beat the game 10 times.

23.) Truly Hardcore
How: Beat the game 30 times.

24.) Conqueror

27.) World Warrior
How: Kill every type of enemy in the game.
Notes: Here's a list that some people might miss.

-Heli Grappler: Galaxy Man's Stage

-Sparks: Plug Man's Stage [Use Black Hole Bomb]
-Mines: Splash Woman's Stage [Use Black Hole Bomb]
-Flames: Magma Man's Stage (the flames that the Flame Dragon shoots out. Use
a Tornado Blow)
-Hornets: Hornet's Man Stage (the Hornets Hornet Man shoots out)
And anything else that shoots out from an enemy or boss.

28.) Trusty Sidearm.
How: Kill all 8 robot masters with the Arm Cannon.

How: Buy 30 items.
Notes: You have to do this in one playthrough.

32.) Last Man Standing
How: Defeat all bosses with one pixel of energy left.

33.) Survivor
How: Defeat one boss with one pixel of energy left.

34.) Hard Rock
How: Reach the Robot Masters room without getting damaged.
Notes: Splash Woman's stage seems to be the easiest for this one.

35.) Heavy Metal
How: Reach the Robot Masters room without shooting.

36.) Speed Metal
How: Reach a Robot Masters room without stopping.

37.) Fantastic 9
How: Gain 9 lives.

38.) Fully Unloaded
How: Hit a boss with ALL special weapons before killing it.

39.) Blue Bomber
How: Defeat a boss without getting damaged.
Notes: Galaxy Man and Jewel Man seem to be the easiest ones for this.

40.) Eco Fighter
How: Defeat a boss with only the Mega Buster.

41.) Marathon Fight
How: Fight a boss for 10 minutes or longer.

42.) Quick Draw G
How: Defeat Galaxy Man in 10 seconds or less.
Notes: This one is actually the toughest one. You have to be real lucky and
hope that once the battle starts, Galaxy Man starts off by trying to fly into
you three times. If he does, get off as many Concrete Shots as possible.

43.) Quick Draw C
How: Defeat Concrete Man in 10 seconds or less.
Notes: Remember that the Laser Trident pierces his cement blocks.

44.) Quick Draw S
How: Defeat Splash Woman in 10 seconds or less.

45.) Quick Draw H
How: Defeat Hornet Man in 10 seconds or less.

46.) Quick Draw J
How: Defeat Jewel Man in 10 seconds or less.
Notes: This is by far the easiest. All you have to do is shoot a Black Hole
Bomb out and Jewel Man will most likely run into it twice. Once he does, pause
and unpause and shoot out another one for him to run into. Repeat the process.

47.) Quick Draw P
How: Defeat Plug Man in 10 seconds or less.

48.) Quick Draw T
How: Defeat Tornado Man in 10 seconds or less.

49.) Quick Draw M
How: Defeat Magma Man in 10 seconds or less.
