If you cross the Goal line holding an item like a trampoline, shell, etc. That item will change into a 1-Up mushroom.

Re-Enter Beaten Castles:
A beaten castle can't normally be re-entered but if you go to the castle you want to play again and press L + R at the same time you'll be able to.
