Unlock Characters for Brawl

The best and easiest way to unlock characters is to merely play through the story mode. As each character joins your team, they are added to possible choices in brawl mode.

You can also just play hundreds of multiplayer battles, which will unlock them also. This mode is not reccomended however, since it will take much longer than simply playing the story mode
