If your lions are hungry you don't have to feend them your gazelles and zebra!!(same with alligators)Instead you can do this

Step 1:Control your lion/alligator.

Step 2:Eat a zebra/gazelle

Step 3:stop controlling your lion or alligator

Step 4:pick up the zebra or alligator in freeplay by holdong B

your lions will all be full since they eat together.But for your alligators you must repeat this
