Any ideas how to get your sword more powerful? Your opponents sword always seems to be more powerfull.......

swing faster and use your rist more than your arm if using your arm at all.

Its better to block and strike, be defensive and then strike, continuelesly, if block make sure to press b and block their attack.
Or just do a cheat without cheat, B-hold, then release and swing top to down (Vertical slash). Most of the time you will hit :-)

Play 300 matches to get the Dragon Sword,or when you pick your mii,press 1 directly after you click ok to get the champion's sword[it,s purple,and you need to defeat the champion,Matt,to do this.You fight him when you get to about 1,500 skill points.Trust me,i,m at 2,500 points

There's no way to make your sword more 'powerful' in the swordplay games, I know it seems unfair, but indeed, in the swordplay duels, your opponents sword (usually) is more powerful. If you manage to defeat matt (he duels you at 1500xp) you can hold the 1 button the whole way through character selection, and your sword will be purple, the sword that matt used is in your hands! But it wont make anything easier, it's just a sword with different colors...

The dragon sword does not make a diference to the game. But a purple sword does. It doesn't look it does. But it says that it gives your opponent less speed, less defence, and less ofence. Look closley at the SWORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trust me.

Actually, it dosen't I did comparisans with non purple and normal swords, and it dosent change any sort of stats for your opponentIf you are still looking for help with this game we have more questions and answers for you to check.
