Click on your fridge, then click on open, and a menu of the fridge should pop up. It comes up on the menu as stuff already in the fridge, so to change it to stuff in your Sims inventory, go to the tabs on the top of the menu and change it from the first to the second. Then the stuff in your inventory should pop up. Then, you click on it and one of your food items should have transferred to the other side of the screen, meaning it is in the fridge. Keep clicking until all food items are in the fridge
