This is probably easy to 99.9% of you gamers but I'm stuck in the forest..

Question for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

This is probably easy to 99.9% of you gamers but I'm stuck in the forest! I've got 3 out of the 4 monkeys I need and I'm stuck on the part where you explode the large flowers! I've thrown two bombs off the edges to implode the flowers after they eat them, but I cannot make the large boulder explode on the other side of the gap I've looked at walkthroughs on supercheats.com but they make it sound so simple (jump acrosss the gap with the bomb and throw it next to the boulder and it will explode) however when I try to jump the gap with the bomb link drops the bomb behind him and he jumps alone across the gap, I have also tried throwing the bomb over the gap to the boulder but it doesnt reach and I've tried jumping link over the gap after I've thrown the bomb to re-pick up the bomb to throw it again to the boulder but it explodes! And I'm gettin annoyed now because it is I guess a simple thing to do but I cannot do it, so please help me out otherwise it's going back to the shop and I don't want to be beaten!
