I'm stuck.. Can't find fishing pole to get the fish for the cat?

No the slingshot is not used for the monkey.....when you are on that tall cliff look down there will be a flower. You take the flower and you blow it and an eagle will come you aim the eagle at the cradle and let him go and it will get you it for you. As for the fishing pole the village man, the one at is usually at the creek with his sword and has a pregnant wife, well you go to there house and the wife will say something like," Hey, my husband is looking for you he wants to give you something." Then I am pretty sure that if you head to your house he will show up right as you are walking toward your house.

In order to get the fishing pole, you have to retrieve the baby craddle that was stolen from the pregnat woman down by the creek. There is a pillar with vines next to the store with a pink roof, climb up there then jump over onto the pink roof then over to the pillars behind it. There will be some grass on the last pillar that you can pick, use that to call a hawk to come. Then, aim the hawk way down the river at the monkey holding the craddle and send the hawk to retrieve it. Once you get the craddle, take it to the pregnat woman down by the creek.

Then, to get the sling shot, you have to go behind the house with the water wheel and start fishing. The first fish you catch you'll recieve a heart but the second one...well, the cat will then go back to it's master thus letting you go buy the slingshot *in the store with the pink roof*. After you buy the sling shot, go to the area where your house is and talk to the children.

If you got the cradle back for Uli by blowing the flower and using the eagle, she should've given you the Fishing Rod Colin made for you. So go to the dock where the cat is and go fishing! When you get the bobber in the water near a fish, wait for it to get pulled down to the bottom of the screen, then hold the B button, lift the remote above your head and hold it there until you get the fish. Now hit B again to drop the fish and follow the cat to Sera's Sundries where you'll get a free Bottle of Milk and the Slingshot if you have 30 Rupees.

First, do the monkey w/ the cradle. Climb up the vines where the one guy is. Jump across to the roof of the cat lady's shop, and grab the grass on the other side and blow into it to call a hawk. Aim the hawk at the cradle and let it fly. Once it gives you the cradle, run to Colin's mother (w/o falling in the water!) and meet her at her house. She'll give you the fishing pole so that you can catch fish for the cat (need to catch 2 fish). Buy the slingshot at the cat lady's store for 30 rupees. Whew!
