The John answered:
There are two clawshots. The first is in the lakebed temple when you beat the mini boss toad thing. You beat him by killing all of his little toadlings and then moving out of the way before the flattens you. Quickly run and hit his tongue. The second clawshot is near the end of the game in the sky temple. You get it by beating the mini boss. Avoid it's attacks and when it is about to lumge at you use your clawshot to hook onto it's shield then slash like mad. You will then get a second clawshot.
