The only way to get to snowy mountains without getting lost in the snow is to get the scent of the reek fish ,to do that you fish for the reek fish, it's a red fish it's just outside of the entrance to the snowy mountain it's on the otherside of the lake by the to rocks. If you can't get a reek fish you need to get the coral earing from the prince he's in the graveyard where you first met his mother ,show him the cards and he will give you the earing now you can catch the reek fish,when you do turn to wolflink and sniff the scent of the reek fish now you can follow the scent through the snow without getting lost.Need more hlep with a part of this game just post it and i'll help you later.

To get in snowymountain you don't have to go back to the beggining. You need to find prince ralis. Then catch a reekfish. Transform into wolf and sniff the fish. Then follow the path up the mountain.

First you must head to snowpeak from Upper Zora's river to get a sketch of a "monster" from the person there.
Next head to Kakariko Graveyard (the back part where you got the Zora Armor from the Queen's ghost) and talk to the prince, show him the picture to get the coral lure. Now head to Upper Zora's river, catch a reekfish at the base of the waterfall. Learn it's scent as a wolf & follow it up the mountain. (Note use the hold Z press A attack to shift some snow so you an climb up a ridge).
