So, I've completed the whole dungeon for the Goron mines, and now I'm standing..

Question for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

So, I've completed the whole dungeon for the Goron mines, and now I'm standing in front of the boss door and can't open it! I've gone back to the beginning of the dungeon and gone through the whole thing a second time, and the elders didn't say anything about the key shards the second time around, so I ASSUME I have them.
However, I can't get the door open, and they key isn't in the pause menu!
What's wrong with my game, and can I fix it?
If I have to start the whole game over again, I won't be very impressed...

Did you already obtain the key shards? Because there is no boss key in this dungeon. The only way to get a boss key is to combine the key shards that each elder has. Simply re-visit each elder and talk to them to have them give you a key shard. If that doesn't work, reset the game and try again, or evn shut the console off and then turn it back on and try again. If it still doesn't work, then your game is really messed up and you should either get a new console or another copy of this game.
