After the monkey guides you through the mist, she will drop the Lantern. All you need to do is step over it to pick it up. It is out of fuel, however, so it's recommended that you bring a bottle of Lantern Fuel with you.

Dude you have to get it where the monkey left it.
If you don't remember where it land just look for it it must be close to the mist or in the middle.
