Question for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

I'm trying to get the shield for midna but the guy keeps shooting the hawk at me. What do I do?

Remember when you used your fishing rod and that weird cat stole your fish? Well if you do, go to the same store that the cat with your stolen fish went. Somewhere around the store, midnas face will appear on the screen and the midna button will blink on and off. Press the midna button and she will help you to get to the top of the store and scare fado (the guy with the hawk)
