Question for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Does anyone know the secret to getting the 4 insects along zora river while being flown by bird? I ztarget and dash into them but never can get them,seem to go right through them. Help!

Just have to angle it right. I pull up at the last minute so the wolf hits it, not the bird. It works for me.
