I found that it gets easier once you obtain the second Clawshot. With the two Clawshots, you can maneauver around a bit quicker.

Two clawshots, definitely. But there is a bit of technique to it. Clawshot to the lowest platform, and then try to get to the highest, and drop down to collect " Stars " along the way. There`s also one time where you can collect 3-4 at once. Very nice, if I might say to try and find that window of opportunity.
