How to get shadow in super smash bros
I can't get shadow iv ben trying different methods but they don't work

There is no way to unlock shadow in super smash bros brawl as a character. But I think it can be used as assist trophy

You can only get Shadow the hedghog from assist trophy, you cannot play as Shadow unless mods or hacks.
You unlock shadow as an assist trophy after unlocking Sonic (wich you can play with).
Unlocking Sonic:
Play 300 brawls or
Beat classic mode with 10 different characters or
Play in brawl for 10 hours
(all of the above answers resulting you facing Sonic in his Arena, if you lost, you can play any game, and Sonic will re-challenge you..)
Or you can get Sonic to join you in the Subspace Emissary (you don't need to fight him)
