How do you get into the area 51 place that sells clothes. Cause I'm at the start of the game and it won't let me in. Do I need to be further on in the game?

You need to defeat the ninth-ranked Asassin (Mr Peace) before you can get into the Area 51 shop.
After you've done that, you'll be gained access! You'll also be able to enter Naomi's lab and Thunder Ryu's Training Gym also!
