How do you do a back flip because I don't know how to do a back flip

There are two ways to do a backflip. If you aren't moving, you can simply hold Z and press A. If you try to do that while moving, you will simply do a long jump. The other way is to quickly move the control stick the opposite way you're facing and press A.
