Question for Skylanders Spyro's Adventure

Why can't I play my Skylanders Giant character on my Skylanders Spyros Adventure game for the WII.

Skylanders: Giants is backwards compatible, which means you can use Skylanders from Spyro's Adventure in Giants. You can use Series 2 Skylanders in Spyro's Adventure (it'll have Series 2 on it), but you can't use Giant Characters, Lightcore, or new Skylanders in Spyro's Adventure.

Ya the box will have a check mark on which game it's compatible with. Be sure to check this. I just bought a 3 pack and two out of the three were compatible with my spyros game. I would think that the whole pack was, I seen the first one checked for spyros and assumed wrongly.
