I assume you mean the GAME itself and not the little figures. Yes, there are differences between the games. Most of these are fairly subtle. Treasure and loot is positioned a little differently between different console versions. The games themselves behave slightly differently. The aspect ratio, or the "view" you see can be quite a lot different. Once you are used to this it is not a problem. But if you switch from one console to another, the new version will definitely be confusing at first. There are glitches on one sort or another in EACH console version of the game. Most of these are not killers, mostly just irritations. The dark areas like Dark Water Cove on the XBOX are considerably darker on screen than they are on the WII. The WII view is frequently more of a birds eye view from higher up, where the XBOX is also Birds Eye View but from a lower point of view. The games constantly shifting Point of View can be disconcerting to many people and is (I believe) designed into the game to make it more of a challenge. This also forces you to replay a level many times until you finally learn your way around. Generally speaking these "differences" really make no major difference in how you play the game. HOWEVER, when you take into consideration that your skylander figure has his/her level up's, upgrades, AND Heroic Challenge enhancement stored within the figure ITSELF, when you start a new game on YOUR console, or take you skylanders to a totally different console. Those same level up's, upgrades, wn heroic enhancements are IN your figure, so you don't have to re-earn them. Similarly, if you hit a Heroic Challenge you can not complete on YOUR console, you can try it on another console. You MIGHT be able to complete it on anothe console, where you consistently fail on your console.

On the Skylanders figures they don't say wii or xbox 360 . Does it matter which ones you buy, I have a wii and just bought these and a friend has a xbox 360. Will her figures work on the wii. Not the game or protal. I know these have to be different. Thanks

The figures and the portals are universal as well. It is only the games themselves which are not.
