The is a certain number of Enemies that you must dispatch within the level. If you get this magic number you GET the enemy goal checkbox. Some people say you must kill EVERY enemy within the level. I don't know if this is absolutely true or not, but you will probably have to get most of them. On some levels it is not possible to cover the entire level in a single pass. There are points where you must choose between paths. One path will get you one set of treasure and SKIP some other, The second will get the OTHER set of treasure and skip the first. Either way, it is not possible to cover the entire area in a single pass. In any event, The BEST way to insure you get the Enemy goal is to SYSTEMATICALLY work your way through the level. As soon as you clear the enemies in the immediate area or room, do a VERY THOROUGH search of the area. Walk the perimeter carefully. Blow up ALL the barrels, wagons, etc (those sometimes hide enemies). Look behind all the trees, go down all the little side hallways and rooms. It is imperative that you do a systematic search. If there is WATER in the level, do the level with either a water skylander or one that can FLY and search the WATER areas and any islands you find. Sometimes there are things that are not specifically needed to complete the level, but ARE needed to get all the CHECKBOX's. If you have successfully done a thorough search and killed everyone and you still did not get the CHECKBOX, Try a different skylander. You MAY have to try one skylander for EACH of the elements. Make absolutely certain you do a THOROUGH perimeter search. If a turtle has an arrow on his back, make sure you push that darn turtle as far as he will go. SOMETIMES they fall off the edge of the island revealing some HIDDEN area you did not know was there. There is one level with a HIDDEN GATE which you will ONLY find if you happen to use a skylander of the WRONG element within the area. That bit about certain skylanders are "stronger" is true, but it also tends to cause you to NOT use a skylander that is weaker. SOMETIMES these weaker skylanders will cause the game to display a slightly different scenario. Slight different scenary, different treasure, different enemies. Etc. Be VERY careful that you PAY ATTENTION to any telltale hints of color. There are jump pads that are mostly hidden. Only by watching carefully will you see the slight HINT of a glow showing behind some hill or rock or tree. The designers were VERY good at hiding things. Part of the fun is finding all those hidden bits. Pay attention when you START a new level. The panoramic view or FLYBY will sometimes show you things that you might otherwise MISS. SHOOT EVERYTHING multiple times if you have a SHOOTER. PUSH EVERYTHING if it is pushable. Get CLOSE to everything. One some of the levels you must use jump pads to jump around. Make sure you try all the jump pads. Just because to found the exit, does NOT mean you covered the entire area. It only takes missing one jump pad, side path, hidden room, etc. To deny you the CHECKBOX. Bottom line, be methodical and thorough. If you are familiar with working through a maze in the dark. Put one hand on a wall and follow that wall ALL THE WAY. Either always go RIGHT or always go LEFT. This works unless there is a detached ISLAND in the middle of the maze.

You CAN do Heroic Challenges the same way, but it is TOUGHER because you are limited on time. GIVE up on trying to beat the challenge. REALIZE that in order to defeat the challenge, you must first KNOW the challenge thoroughly to know what you are dealing with. Make as many failing passes as it takes to learn the layout and locate the enemies and goals. THEN make your run. Be aware that in the Heroic Challenges, the treasure, or whatever you are tasked to find, MAY move each time you start the challenge. Luckily there are only so many places the game designers can hide stuff. So make ENOUGH passes and you will learns these various places. Typically, in these "moving target" challenges, you will learn where the hiding places ARE and then you can look in the KNOWN places first, ignoring the ones that were not used previously. SOME challenges are especially tough. Keep at it and eventually you will either get lucky, or become so familiar with the route and the enemies that you can skip the ones that are unnecessary and only deal with the NECESSARY ones. REPEAR the levels and the challenges enough and you WILL become an expert. If you have replayed a particular level or challenge OVER AND OVER using the same route and you are still stumped, try a different route. Some levels and challenges have unnecessary rooms, areas, islands, etc. That are put there to SLOW YOU DOWN. Learn which ones can be skipped and STILL complete the tasks. SOME HEROIC CHALLENGES MUST be cleared in a particular order or the final spiked gate will not open. Bear in mind what may LOOK impossible, may not actually BE impossible.
