Question for Skylanders Spyro's Adventure

How does one go back to the "ruins" on Skylanders Adventures so character can regain health? My 5 year old son is getting all his guys killed trying to defeat the 4 headed dragon. We were advised to go back to the "ruins" , but my son is not familiar with the term therefor I don't know where guide him?

The only way to return to the ruins is to exit the level, so he would have to start over. However, if you play as a team and you've upgraded all the way one skylander can refill the health of another. Otherwise once you kill other skylanders that battle for chaos food appears, that helps. Also when the water dragon sends sharks stay as close to them without getting bitten and you regain +5 for everytime they miss biting you.

When you get the message that the skylander must rest. There will be an option to restart the chapter at the bottom of the message. If you press THAT button on your console, the chapter will restart. HOWEVER, you can also switch immediately to another skylander and continue the fight. You can use a skylander that is NOT strong in the recommended element. That just means they aren't a little stronger. When the ground below your skylander begins pulsing red and you hear the warning pulse, you can immediately switch skylanders BEFORE your skylander dies, and complete the chapter with a different skylander. In fact you can go through a whole battery of skylanders finishing a chapter. If you remove them BEFORE they die, then you get chapter credit for "NO LIVES LOST" even though you might have gotten close to dieing.
