How to get the crystal eye out on chapter 8 on WII

This is my favorite level. LOTS of bad guys, LOTS of XP, only one turtle puzzle. Work you way in, kill the bad guys in the first tower. That will destroy the tower and unlock 1/2 the central gate. Do the other tower the same way. If you open the UNDEAD gate, there are more bad guys to kill. More XP for you. Great for leveling up your skylanders. Once you have destroyed both outer towers, go to the central tower. Kill everyone on the way in. EAT all the food. You need maximum health to make it through the final tower. LOTS of bad guys. If you DO get killed, switch skylanders and keep playing, don't restart the chapter. Keep fighting till you have killed ALL the bad guys that keep coming. Once you have killed them ALL, the bars around the Crystal Eye will retract and you can press Y (on an Xbox) to get the eye and finish the level. If you have a Skylander that fight close in (like bash) this is a tough fight. If you have a skylander that SHOOTS from afar, like Trigger Happy or Hex you can kill everybody from across the room. I have found it easier to clear the room by killing the chomp pods first, THEN go immediate to the left. Killing the spinning Cyclops Choppers next. Then continue left and kill the four Cyclops Mammoths as they emerge from the opening, along with all the chompies. If you are far enough to the left, only one Rock Chunker can hit you and you can (hopefully) avoid the rocks while you kill the Mammoths. Once you have everything killed from the left, go back and kill the Rock Chunkers. Once you have killed EVERYTHING the bars will drop and you can finish the level.
This is a great level to LEVEL UP your skylanders. Even if they get killed, they keep the eXperience Points. Plus if you clear every room after killing the bad guys you can collect a fair amount of money. Great for leveling and accumulating wealth to purchase upgrades. The level is reasonably quick to complete. (about 7 minutes) After a dozen or so times through it becomes easy to complete except for the final room which is always TOUGH. I have leveled up 25 skylanders to 8 or higher and we have only played through level 13. Skylanders with High Levels and as many purchased extra skills make the much tougher higher levels easier to complete.

My plan is to take all 32 skylanders through ALL the levels. Then take my favorites through the heroic challenges. But first I want them all leveled up to 10 with everything purchased that is available.
