Skylanders Spyro's Adventure Questions

On chapter 6 "dark water caves", how do you get up to the treasure chest which is above the houses? I can see it but can't get up to it and as I go up the ramp to the temple I can see a red portal but can't find how to get to it.Can anyone help me out pls.

This requires some EXPERT jumping skills. When you are onboard the ship and have to jump up to the crows nest on the mast and then walk the narrow plank to the next mast, then out away from that mast to the jewels. You must tread very carefully. You are HIDDEN behind that second mast and it is VERY hard to tell where you are walking, fall off SOON enough and you can jump up the mast again. Fall off too late and you will land off the ship and cannot get back. If you do it JUST RIGHT, you will go off the end of the plank, capturing the jewels in mid air. The correct way is to land on the FIRST bounce pad and then JUMP over the courtyard landing on the balcony above the houses. If possible avoid landing on the second jump pad, as that might kick you back the way you came. If you CAN make this jump successfully, turn left and shoot the cannons, for the booty. Then go back right and go into the PORTAL, which will transport you to a different balcony for the Treasure or whatver is there. After you get the Treasure, use the portal on the second balcony to transport back to the first, THEN use the jump pad to jump over the railing back down into town to finish the chapter.
