Yes, I've tried several NEW batteries and reseated usb stick several times. Portal power powers on (lights come on) but then lights go off after about 30 seconds after it was turned on. It never connects no matter how close they are placed next to each other.

Tried what someone else said. I closed the game (skylanders)and opened another game i have saved on the ps3, then followed the directions on how to sinc - I unplugged the usb then replugged it in. I opened the back of the battery compartment, turned the portal on and then turned it upside down and pressed the sinc button so the light on the side of the portal flashes really quickly. Straight away the light stopped flashing and remained on (sinc'ed). I then replaced the battery cover and closed the game and reopened Skylanders - worked great. Would recommend this method to anyone having problems. Good luck.

We've tried for months to sync the Portal of Power. All the same issues as I'm seeing here. Finally really looked at the instructions and it worked! What did we do different? 1) Turn on the Wii console, power on the POP, wait for solid red light, THEN insert the game software. 2) Moved it off our TV stand that has metal poles. It must be 6 inches away from metal!! It's now on a wood table next to the TV stand. Hope this helps!

happing to mine too! i tried doing what anouther site said by syncing it while playing another game and it worked.........for a short while each day but it could work 4 u guys! u never know!

There is a Major Problem with the Wireless Portal of Powers that Activsion acknoledges and is trying to fix. I have some suggestions. First If you have both the console and 3DS version of Skylanders, You dont need to pull your hair out because you cant play on the console system, you can use your 3DS portal of power. The 3DS version comes with a USB cord that you can plug into your console and it will work just fine. NOTE that will only work for people who have the 3DS version has well has there console version. The second thing is return your Wireless Portal to Activsion and request a replacement.

Theres a Work Around for this Problem for those of you who have the 3DS version in addition to your console version. The 3DS game comes with a USB cord. Plug this cord into your USB port on your console. Then plug the cord into your 3DS portal. WHAMOO it works. The wireless portals are faulty and activision has confirmed this, return your Portal to activision and they will send you a new one.

im trying to use my PS3 Portal for the website it use to work when the first skylanders came out now my Mac is not talking to it for some reasion. any help would be great. i installed it 8 times and nothing. ever since Giants Came out the portal wont work for the website, what does that mean that i have to buy the starter kit all over again?

for some reason, the portal can not be on the floor and does not have to be close to the system...hold the figure over the portal and see if it works instead of sitting it on it, if so thats the spot....almost like looking for a strong signal.

I recommend getting rechargable batteries for the wireless portal. Regular batteries drain to quickly. I had the same problem. Game saves have nothing to do with the issue.

The portals mood light uses less battery power while not synced. When synced the portal turns off due to low battery power. Using lithium ion batteries have given us longer gameplay.

My wireless receiver has been lost! All other wireless receivers are $30-35, and I want a cable, but those are $99! Any help wondering what to do? I've beaten the game, but I'm still working on making it poerfect, with all the characters, hats, stars, yadda yadda.

I to was having this problem but it was due to the fact that there were not enough carrots in the fridge and the trout was getting warm. I found it to work better it you take your portal of power and throw it at a large beaver.
