Hi, we can't figure out how to save game. It is saying that if we quit our progress will be lost? My little boy is worried about this. Please help us. Thanks very much everyone.

You don't say which platform you are on, but for the Wii, XBOX, and PS3 when you start the game you pick one of four save slots from the title menu. As you play the adventure game, your progress is saved automatically to your chosen save slot at intervals (usually on level entry and exit and you will see a picure of Eon in the corner of the screen during the save operation). If you choose to exit a level, any progress since the last level entry save will be lost.

If you complete a misson it should save automaticly.

The gold, levels, and any upgrades earned b4 thew save are saved onto the skylander's memory base. The level progress(areas found,keys, and progress. Thats all

Well it should save automatically since you pick a slot to save in plus I wanted to ask when I place my skylander series one in skylander giants shouldnt it save in the menu plus the missio where you add spyro gill grunt and trigger happy to your collection is it series one or series two????

The character level and gold saves to the actual skylander figure, so there may be an issue with the portal or your figure. Level progress, collection, arena..etc are the only thing saved to the game save itself.

I have the same problem. When I achieve a level up, or purchase an upgrade it's lost as soon as the character is removed from the portal. It isn't a problem with the characters because it applies to all of them. I even returned the portal to the store and got a new one.

I also tried changing the characters name to force the portal to save the character and still nothing. Super annoying!

I have the same issue! It would seem data is not saving to the skylanders as intended. I noticed it occasionally before beating the game but then when I went and started a second save game to do the nightmare mode I set ownership to the new save game and now none of the data saves to the skylanders.

I have the same problem leveled my character 10 levels took it off portal and back on and no data saved to character at all
