In the first island, desert Isle, there are some whirlpool like things around the map. If you walk into one of these a massive claw comes out, thats the adult antilion. Attack it a few times and you get a hard shell. The whirlpools are at the northwest of the map where you fight a PX-1 (kuma robot) and just before you get to the lake, which is just before the kidd fight
