Question for Okami

Has anyone here defeated Blockhead Grande? If so, how did you do it? I've tried for honestly about 1000 times and to no avail. Could you please offer some tips?

I took I video with my phone and paused it at each spot to see where it is it worked

Another way that helped me a lot is that you draw a four x four grid on a peice of paper-as the dots appear on an invisible four x four grid- and when you tackle him, wait for the first dot to appear, pause the game and write it down marked with a number 1 in the correct space, and continue this until you reach the eighth dot. (P.S. You have to do it in order tat they appear)
