Can not get it to go to multiplayer

Ok , not sure what is going on but, from the main screen of the game I choose multiplayer mode. After that it lets me pick characters, however it will let me select 1 character and that is no, no "ok" button nothing, and the other remote (yes I'm using 2 remotes) will do nothing, will not even show as active. That is as far as it will let me go, I've restarted the software, tried again and nothing, I looked in the wii options to see if there was anythign there that would help me and nothing. This should be simple and self explanitory but for some reason I am going no where with it. I could use some help. Thanks

Alright I myself have experienced several problems with the wii system for starters try having a friend help you with this and follow these instructions if this doesnt work then I can't help

1)make shore both controllers are turned on and have plenty of battery

2)click multiplayer on the title screen

3)aim both controllers at the sensor NOT the screen from there without moving you're arm move the wii remote around but not too fast if done right eventually you will see either one or more sights on screen

4) select you're character then tell your friend to as well

5)the OK button should then appear so click it

6)now you will come to a screen with six option they are your game categories click a game category (for example ASSAULT) you will then be taken to a screen with at least 2 options in most games there are 2 different version and a normal and elite mode pick any one of these

7)after selecting your preferred amount of games you can then hit play and have some fun
