Date of Question: Nov 6 2007 | Question ID: 99870 I heard that you have to beat story/mission mode to unlock characters, but I haven't even come close and I've unlocked Kankuro and Guy did I do something special, or were other people just mistaken? |
All you have to do to start unlocking characters is to beat Story/Mission mode once, on the Genin level, you don't have to beat it on Chunin or Jonin level.

I know how to unlock itachi and kisame how you unlock them is you unlock itachi here are the steps:first beat single player mode with naruto.you will fight gaara beat him and you unlock the following:orochimaru gaara and mission 21.also a secret stage you will see what stage it is with your own eyes.then you have to complete saskes story score at least 300000 to fight itachi.after that you will unlock:mission number 22 after you complete mission number 22 you unlocked itachi!After that go back to single player mode beat it with kakashi.you will unlock mission 23 beat it.Go back to single player mode.Beat it with Might Guy and score at least 300000 then you will finally fight kisame and if you beat him you unlock him.Kisame is my favorite charactor.

If you have unlocked Kankuro already that means you beat the regular Mission Mode.
