Where do I find a rose when they are all dead because the evil/spooky people destroy them?

Well, if you have any roses at all in your inventory you should plant them and make sure they aren't being poisoned by the spooky people. They aren't evil...well most aren't. They are just really gothic, and into dark things. Try planting spooky trees like eyeballs, pumpkin, thorn, at least one or two in each area so they have something they like to focus on. Maybe try watering the trees if they are only damaged, that usually heals them. Always keep a few roses left over, watering the trees continuously actually gets them to give more items, so doing that is better than that darned spray that poisons the trees.

Usually, the roses are located in the forest, be sure to look for some little paths, sometimes it's just something you will have to wait till you get to four stars, sometimes not. Purple crayons, I think, were outside the mine in the main area, you just dig them up with the 'prospect' option. Good luck!
