Question for Monster Hunter Tri

I'm trying to figure out who to fight first, rathalos, diablos, barioth. I have hunters armor, jaggi armor, qurupeco armor, ludroth armor, barroth armor, and loc lac armor. If need be I can make baggi armor, rathian armor, gigginox armor, gobul armor, lagi armor, bnahabra armor, and ingot armor. For weapons I have royal claw+, hydra knife, carapace mace, qurupeco chopper, shadow saber, and azi dahaka. I can't use any weapon except SnS, and I'm willing to farm more stuff if necessary. Who do I fight first and what do I fight with?

The Rathalos is the easiest to fight once you figure out it's moves. To fight a Rathalos, I'd just use the armor with the highest defense and no negative fire resistance (Rathian or Barroth armor?). For your weapon... Only sword and shield? Why is that? Anyways, use whichever one you think would help the most. It's really more of a choice between poisoning the monster, paralyzing the monster, or more damage with the water element.
