The three wives are Emily, Lucy (unless you did not beat Jonathan on second week of September) and Patty. What Emily gives you is 4 special abilities for whatever position you play in the game. Lucy gives you nothing. And Patty will either give a pitcher the abilities gyroball for pitchers or intimidator for fielders

Lucy is the that gives you the intimidator ability for pitchers
