Watch the 4 color code on the bottom of the ship while blasting the ships/martians (easier with a helper). When it's done (3-6 tones), shoot the sequence correctly and the bottom of the ship will open exposing the ship's weak spot.

Anytime that you mess up the sequence, a horde of martians will attack. While if you do it correctly, the interim martian attack is 'weaker'. Keep in mind that during the weak attack, you must observe and remember the new sequence.

We (my son and I shooting, and my daughter watching for the sequence) killed the mother ship after shooting at the exposed weak spot about 7-10 times.
