Unlocking games

I am new to the Wii so have a lot to learn. On the Olympic games I only have a few games available although the instruction booklet is giving details on other games such as rowing the 400 meters. These games are not available to me, so do I have to unlock them and if so how?? Please help as I would like to try all the available games.

You have to unlock them by playing Circuit Mode as One-Player.

The more event you play or do, you unlock more events then you can try and get gold medals for all of them and unlock awesome emblems. I hoped this helps.

You have to unlock certain Circuits to obtain these games. The unlockable games are put in the Instruction Booklet so there won't be a player that doesn't know how to do the 400-meter Rowing Event.
