Question for Mario Party 8

I am having a hard time playing the multi-player games. When I go into the game section, and pick 2 players it tells me to plug in or connect my Wii controler, I have 2 controlers, but how do I get my second Wii control to connect? Please help, thanks

To get the second controller to work, open up a little door hatch on the front of the system(it's above left of the eject button). When you open it, you'll notice a red button sitting there. Push and hold down the red button, then push and hold down the 2 button on the remote. The lights will flash at the bottom and it will show the controller is in port 2.

Diamond Lucario answered:

Either press the power button on it, or press home and go to the options press reconnect and press 1 and 2 at the same time per player you want (Just so you know it worked, look at the bottom and it should say P1 and P2.)

Zelda_Fan answered:

Probably the wrong place for this but there are two ways to do this, Long Term or Short Term.

A) Long Term - Get your non-working wiimote in one hand and open up the hatch on the Wii with the other. The hatch has a red button and a SD card slot, but you only need the Red Button. Press the Red Button and then press a red button in the battery slot of your wiimote. No need to hold them. If you do it this way you never have to reconnect the remote again.

B) Short Term - Use your working remote to turn on the Wii and when it is ready press the home button. Choose Wii Controller and then Reconnect. Then press 1 and 2 at the same time with both remotes. If this hasn't worked try again. Eventually they should be connected.

If you just bought a new wiimote to play multiplayer mode, make sure you sync it with the wii. You can do this by opening the place where the batteries are(wiimote), and the place where the sd card slot is located(wii), this slot is on the left side of the disc slot(if your wii is vertical-positioned, if your wii is horizontally-positioned, it's below the disc slot) hope this helps!
