To defeat king dedede, you have to keep dodging his attacks until he dos the "dive bomb" attack. He'll lay on the ground for awhile after that. Use the weight attack (press down in the air) and the thing that holds the puppet strings up will be visible. Grab it and pull (press up, hold 1) and do that 3 times. You can also grab certain projectiles and throw it at dedede instead of waiting for the dive bomb attack.
