You do your best and hope for the best. Also try over and over again until you can do it in your sleep, it usually helps if you know it real well.

I was doing everything perfectly and I swear every muscle in my body was doing exactly what was on the scnree. My brother was only doing them halfheartedly and lame. One time he was even drinking water while playing. Yet he won every time. When I did it perfectly, I got x's or oks. He got perfects. WHY? I did exactly what they told me to!
